1. New kit arrived for me today, looking forward to getting to grips with it. Big willow dismantle tomorrow so will be sticking to what I know until iv had chance to have a rec climb on it.
2. Few pints of Mulled cider today, lovely when I was out in the garden redesigning my log store. Role on Christmas will try a different recipe every day.
3.
Hello mate, well another year is almost over in the world of arb. Hope you are well and still working hard. Haven't seen the van around much this year. working loads in south London now with nhs and orbit social housing, been working hard and now the lead climber at landscapes, after what was a poor year last year the company now is investing in us and we are slowing getting some really good bits of kit. Luckily we have had a heavy work load as we've had some bad down time with chipper and van problems. I really hope you are well Dan would love to have a good catch up soon. take care mate.

4. shows it well in this vid on the art positioner
5. Impulse ordered the spider jack 2.1 and art basic positioner from jones's yesterday looking forward a play when they arrive. Found a lovely big beech in hidden away in the corner of a park near me should be perfect for a test run. the demo vid on honey brothers site makes it look far to simple. Might be dead by the end of the week but we shall see.
6. Would anyone be willing to sell me there copy once they have finished with it. Thanks mark.
7. That perhaps is some what high. Three man team with gear was my input.
8. For EMERGENCY work yeah I see no problem with that. Client have a rite to say no thank you I'll look else where. If that happens then its on to the next one. We had 35 call outs in three days so 2k a day was easily hit. Plus we won extra work from that so they obviously don't think they are having the piss ripped out of them.
9. Cheers do a lot of work in and around that area and always rely heavily on the side lockers.
10. We have been charging a call out rate for all of the emergency work we carry out then what the work would normally cost on top. So just work out what it's worth for you to go out in the middle of the night in difficult conditions. We where charging £150 call out per site plus works completed. Most are happy to pay it.
11. Corrr... Looks like a Merlin engine from a spitfire.
12. On reading this I thought I would have a look online at the spec of my own stove that was left in the house when we brought it two years ago. It's a euroheat harmony 13 and to my surprise it still has a rrp of just under £1700. What a bonus will be sleeping with a smile tonight
13. Said it before how lucky us that lad to have an apprenticeship with you guys.
14. Pumpkin seeds tonight nice little snack with some cheese and ale.
15. Towa power grab at the moment also.
16. Let's hope it was baby onion soup so there was not a shallot of it.
17. Cheers mate. It was literally from the ground though no chance for any thing to get on it. Potentially it could of been wet gloves on wet line. But was still the same when I took my gloves off and dried my paws.
18. Second the Stanley's. Pretty much bomb proof.
19. Does any alter their hitch climber set up in wet conditions. Climbing on it today up a storm damaged silver birch. So slippery and felt like a was working twice as hard no need for a friction saver in fact I would of done any thing for some friction. Had set the Knut as tight as I could and still really hard work. Tried climbing with out gloves but still really slippery. Definitely couldn't get my usual three or four pulls before tending the slack was lucky to get two. With the wet weather now upon us I really don't want to switch systems and go backwards as I love my hitch climber. This is my set up took this the other day up a Salix.
20. Yeah have done cider on mine. Perfect for a keep warm on a chilly night.
21. Foraged chestnuts last night. Weekends I stick the le creuset kettle on it. Best cup of tea of the week.
22. Had a few more today, nice sized Salix to strip out and fell that had lost a large leader. Then off round the county making safe. Back to dartford tomorrow to take down a large oak that we cordoned off yesterday. Sorry forgot the after pics of the Salix.
