Afternoon all, could any one advise me on how to estimate the weight of a popular trunk. It is approximately 10'6" in circumference and 32' in length, need to estimate for skip allowance on a quote, or could some one point me in the right direction for an equation that might help, much appreciated, mark.

Wish I had one the other week, so wet my line was just slipping through my feet when trying to foot lock up a fair height. Rope was well away from the main trunk so it would of helped loads. Had a fair amount of new gear lately so I have stuck one on my wish list next time I make up an order.

One major problem with the airstreams..... You feel as guilty as hell when you get them dirty And I am now desperately trying to wipe them clean on the way to the next job.

Yeah same size as my other meindls size 9 43. Can't comment on other brands as iv only ever had meindls. I'm wearing a fairly thick pair of socks to and find them very comfortable.

Not sure if it would work on here but maybe as a separate app for firewood ratings, I find it hard to get good up to date information on fire wood ratings as every site I find has conflicting information on it. Basically giving a score on say heat out put, easiness to burn and split, with a bit of additional information thrown in. Cheers mark. -
The case for return postage will be argued if they say size 9 or 43 and they don't fit then there not size 9 or 43. Simple!

Bit worried now ordered some on Monday at my normal size. Have had two pairs of the meidle waldlaufers and the size has always been fine.

Girth hitch your climbing line around the pole. Not so much for climbing on but there incase you lose it on the spikes. Also there as your link to the ground for saw change over or re fuelling

Yeah watch the Ben law episode of grand designs he is completely reliant on sweet chestnut for his entire build and lively hood.

Also I know it's a bit late for this growing season but at the end of next summer you could try growing green manures for the following year.
