  1. Had a right result today mum and dad popped in for a cuppa after a visit to the local car boot and from the end of the garden I see my dad waving what looked like a giant banana. Turned out to be a sugio silky and scabbard. Looks like its only had about ten minutes use. Couldn't believe it only cost them £3. I wouldn't normally agree with that sort of thing being sold at a boot fair but I'm willing to make an exception on this occasion
  2. Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic if you have the time to commit to it so and I would always recommend it to people as the experience you gain from it is fantastic. But for me it's now something I've achieved and what I get from it is now limited ( apart from a welcome pay slip at the end of each month).
  3. Congratulations. I also cut it a little fine when my son was born last month. But luckily it wasn't the day before as our van broke down 60 mile from home. Congrats again.
  4. I think About 8 inch. 200t ran out of fuel on the last cut of a small beech reduction so silky all the way . Was a nice new blade too so it flew through it.
  5. Part time in the fire service gives us our expendable income. Loved it for the first four to five years. The training was brilliant and i used to have a lot of shouts. Now I can't wait to be in a position to leave. Free up more time for the kids as it gets frustrating not being able to take them out without finding cover or trying to book holiday around other guys on the section. Expectations to keep the appliance covered 24 7 are just to high with the amount of personnel we have. The service has changed alot over the time i've been in and Not all for the good. Good shouts are now few and far between and volume has also decreased due to none attendance to fire alarms.
  6. Of corse sorry mate.
  7. Is it me but does arb talks very own Steve bullman look a little bit like Edd Stafford. With that said back to the FA cup final.

  12. I saw the exactly the same thing and wondered just that. It is so neatly done not a band saw because the base and sides are in one peace. The do look good.
  13. Defiantly do the training. When I completed mine there was a guy on my course that had been climbing a few years and unknowingly had picked up a few bad habits that that wouldn't of scored very highly on an assessment. Not saying that you would of but you never know. Kind of like driving Your taught how to pass the test but what you do after that is pretty much up to you.
  14. Thanks again for all the replies. Just had our second night home and he seems to be settling in nicely. Taking Evie to a new carving workshop that opens today for a special big sister treat. A local surgeon has set up shop and is doing an open air demo today carving a gruffalo and its her favourite book so hopefully she will enjoy. Ill post some pics later the guy is a real talent. Thanks again mark.

He's nice and chilled haven't heard a peep out of him since he was born unlike his big sister who has been busy helping and entertaining him.
  18. Had a similar problem with ours a few weeks ago. Had to phone green mech and they talked us through a start up procedure and it worked fine after that. Well until the next set of problems anyway.
  19. My baby boy born 17:55 weighing 7lb 8oz arrived quickly into the world today. So quick I nearly missed it parking the car. No names yet so suggestions would help greatly. His big sister Evie likes Eddie but we could do with a few ideas.
