  6. Hello to all, has any one else had issues with the hydraulic tank splitting on there chipper? Ours was an ex demo machine and now has just over 400 hours use. We have had it for about 12 months and in that time have had four new hydraulic tanks fitted. How hot should the hydraulic oil being getting as it is only a plastic tank and keeps rupturing at the mounting points. Starting to cost abit in down time now as it takes a few days to get the replacements. Mark

  13. cheers gents, once again alot of things to try to get it rite, im supprised that alot of you arnt that worried about self tending I thought it would of been a key part of an efficient climb, taking that into concideration im going to try the schwab hitch and not worry about self tending until I get used to the system. thanks again mark.
  14. Hi all, Two weeks ago I switched from Prusik to a hitch climber pulley on my main line and im having a few teething problems, I am using a vt system as my friction hitch and its tied as loosely as I dare. Is it rite that it doesn’t self tend when im climbing the main trunk because as soon as im in the canopy it seems to work perfectly, wrongly or rightly im getting my groundy to pull the slack through when im on my main assent. Im slowly getting used to it and love descending on it. When it does self tend is it rite that I then have to set the vt by hand so it bites before I put my weight into it. Looking forward to your comments, cheers mark
