  1. I got a 3 tonnerand fitted it with a thumb from digbt$ I changed the solid bar with a ram which is the same lenth as the solid bar when extended as I found the bucket was going into the ground before contacting with the "thumb" best thing I ever did great for cord and clearing brash and allsorts would not be without it now only thing I would say a 1 1/2 tonner may be a bit small I will take some new photos tomorrow as cant find the ones i have on this new computer
  2. thought I would share this ,not made of wood but built this wee shed/trailer to sit by the back door tow it up to the store with quad
  3. a lot of reading in there but it looks like i will need go get the old one out and replace with one the same size thanks agg221 for the link
  4. experimented a long time ago with wheels back to back they just fill up with mud especially if its wet clay
  5. just wondering if it is possible to put a smaller liner inside the existing one or would i have to get the old one out first the top 3 meters was moving last week dont know if the bottom bit would tho the split in the liner is between 2 bedrooms so dont want to make a hole there
  6. m large had two at our local show one with a balloon and the other with an empty coke can think the balloon was a set up but the coke can hardly dented before it stopped
  7. my "thor" woodsplitter has what look like thick (5mm) washers welded all over works a treat no probs with slipping

  10. It;s OUT great what u can do with a 4.8m lenth of 4x2 not much fun on a snow covered roof but its out got a small fire going and it seems ok will still have to reline it though, can i put a 4 inch liner inside the existing 6in it would be a lot easier than trying to get the old 6in one out
  11. builder coming tomorrow with a scaffold pole still gonna need a new liner tho

  13. dont think I will go with the burning as there is now a lot of soot on top of the brush. Think I;m gonna have to go in through the side prob need a new liner now but how u get the old one out is another matter
  14. its about 4 meters up think i would smoke the house out before the brush caught alight

  16. the rod did not unscrew it broke or rather the nylon bit came out of the metal bit also tried rods up backwards with plunger attached and not able to move it up either

Having a real bad day wheel bearing went on the car this morning, then went to sweep the chimney the brush got stuck 2/3 way up after a bit of yanking the end of one of the rods came off, tried a window sash weight from above and it would not budge I think there may be one rod still on the brush and its digging into the liner then tried the rods up on their own got it through the brush and put the rubber drain clearing thingy on the end but it still wont budge to cap it all the top of the liner is moving (SPLIT) and the rubber bit is jamed in the join. to dark to do any more today any suggestions what to try next
  18. McFadeyns of campbelltown had a guy called Bert on one a few years ago amazing what he could do with one he was ex fc been on them for years may be worth a try
  19. mmm estate owner here very down to earth and will think nothing of standing in the larder wearing boiler suit and wellies and sharing a hidden (from his wife) bottle of malt BUT when his friends come for their hunting and fishing its all smoking jacket and slippers and a glass of pimms even his voice changes in front of them ,
  20. its a bow shackle you need, a d shackle should only have one "pull" at 90 degrees to the pin. bow shackle can have two or more "legs"
  21. Three Alsations in the pound discussing why they were in first one says that he was playing with the neighbours children when he got exited and peed on the floor why are you here asked the other two to be put down he says second one say he saw a new postman comeing up the path and got exited and bit him what are you here for asks the other two to be put down he replys third one says he was watching his misstress taking a shower and when she came out i got over exited and sh****d her why are you here asked the other two to get my claws cut!!!
  22. skillfull use of a hammer and you can vary the nozzle to any size you need
  23. can someone tell me what adtvantage these have over a ball valve crows foot and 1 1/2 meter of 22mm pipe with the end bashed with a hammer use them all the time and only about 30 quid!!
  24. got a house here great veiws of ben nevis and the loch at end of a farm track in middle of nowhere so wont de disturbed but only 3 miles from town, google coruanan
