  1. Yeah I think your right Pedro It seems that Silky blades have gone the same way Im getting a few months from a blade where as a blade would do a year no sweat.
  2. Had the same pair of Felco no 2 for about 12 years and they are fantastic so decided over christmas to splash out £65 on a pair of no 7. Im very disappointed with the cutting edge that has worn badly and also the lack of strength at the pivot point that allows the blades to part. I have sharpened and adjusted but still the edge doesnt last. Imo they arnt worth the price tag and the added weight of the revolving handle and the way extra grip is needed to stop them springing out of my hand Id never buy another pair
  3. It only took about an hour and cost me nothing, its a nice feeling to bring an old tool back to life.

  12. I use aspen in the hedge cutters and pole saw all the time and use normal 2 stroke mix in the saws. I found that after a days hedge cutting I recked of 2 stroke but since using Aspen I can wear my work clothes out in the evening without people thinking I ride a moped

  17. Silly question but that cant be it normal roost surely ?
  18. Replacement blades never last as long as the blade you get with a complete saw thats a fact IMO
  19. I made myself look like a right nana a few weeks back showing another local firm the Arbtrolly. We had a length of cedar that refused to go on the AT we tried all sorts but between the 2 of us it just didnt want to know eventually we resorted to rachet strapping the AT upside down on the log and just rolling it over Where there's a wheel there's a way add a rachet strap to the recipe and the wood is your oyster
