If he had gone against his better judgement and felled the tree because he had been told to and it went wrong, it would have been the turning point for him to never doubt his gut instinct again. as it is now he is in doubt and thats not a good place to be Is that any clearer ?

It would have done you good to fell the top and wipe out the lines that way you would have always followed your gut instict over others opinions for the rest of your climbing career,what you have done now sounds as if its making you doubt your gut and thats a nasty place to be:thumbdown: I recon you did the right thing, got the job done and In the eyes of any sensible boss did it without taking risk

Ordered an exhaust over the net for the Suzuki sj410 and couldnt believe my eyes when I unwrapped it:thumbdown: Not a problem as I welded around the out side and ground the old weld off. It made me wonder if most exhaust fitters would have just bolted it on and said nowt:sneaky2: Just another good reason to do more of the maintanance on the vehicles. Oh and guess where it was made ?

Reading that reminded me of My old man. As a boy he used to boil an egg in the water jacket of a Lister D stationary engine that drove an elevator on the farm. I bet the old boys working the engine knew just where to put their sandwiches to toast them lol

Bent the same section and from memory it was about £50 going back about 6 years so be prepared for the worst
