  20. YES! it was the purchase of the Easy-lift harness that got me back doing hedges but also using wheelie bins to ferry the waste back to the truck, lenghts of tarp to lay out under the hedge to catch clippings and ear muffs with a built in radio . I recently shortened the shaft on the long reach hedge cutter to fine tune my approach and I recon im probably 50% more efficient. My next purchase is going to be a raised platform or trestles and a younge man board, the only down side to all this is if im on day rate I have to stop for a few more tea breaks or I end up doing far to much .
  21. I hated hedge cutting so gave away all of my jobs to another firm in return for all of their stump grinding jobs, and it worked out very well for both of us. Then a couple of years ago when things started to go quiet I picked up a few of the better hedges I was offered and in conjuction with a few new tools, fresh legs and a more efficent approach im back doing it with a smile on my face.
  22. Cover the stumps in plastic or roofing felt, it will trap moisture and also allow the wee beasties to do their bit.

  24. Dear Justin il fix it ......I'd like you assemble a collection of dwarf animals and people and have a miniture village built so I can pretend Im a giant and watch them run to the hills we I shout fe fi fo fum, whilst wealding an axe.
  25. I dont often pull the trolly by the handle because even though I have put a piece of pipe lagging on the lower stem it still takes the skin off my heel, instead I pull it by the top stacked on it. You could always fashion a handle from a bent limb
