  7. Its a shame you could.nt be bothered to explain the function of the gate. Just because replies are,nt full of praise does,nt mean they are negative
  8. I got approached twice last week buy 2 different guys both had Irish accents and both were selling tools from the back of their vans , one van had an irish number plate and one had a plate from the netherlands. I refused their offers of new boxed tools point blank and they soon dis appeared. When I mentioned this to a local tree surgeon he said that they had stopped him and offerd him boxed stihl saws for £120, he told them where to go.
  9. Your saving money atm but when enough people have the metres the price will go up.
  10. Matt your part of the problem, in the short term you help the home owners (only one of which thank,d you ) in the long term your just helping the developers
  11. Our water companies are owned by the french so what do you expect ? If they make fresh water scarce they can charge more for it Buy not allowing it to enter the water table and causing it to make a flood where it gathers they can pass the buck to the EA and then when the water tables drop put us all on water metres.
  12. I finished a bobtail range rover pickup off that a bloke had started and wish I had,nt sold it:thumbdown: I drive an old 1984 suzuki sj410 and it breaks the ice with customers as the first thing they normally say when I pull up is how clean it is for a 28 year old truck. Im sure customers will admire the skill in the conversion and have a greater confidence in your abilities and attention to detail, the effort will no doubt pay you back 10 fold.
  13. I,d rather use red and know it was,nt going to cook the engine.
  14. Mum and Dad passed a hurse in Poole in Dorset with the number plate GON 2L I saw PEN15 on a smart car going round the M25 A mate of mine used to see a big black guy in london that drove a porche with the numer plate SAM 80 All true

  17. Sounds like you been working for scotts for 2 long mate Come down south the people I work for are all mellow as you like
  18. I went to even more bother than planking the butt on site pre buying an Alaskan mill and got 4 + myself to roll 6ft sections of Cedar across a lawn and man handled into the trailer and then onto the body of the truck, the last section was so heavy that we managed to use rachet straps to pull it into the trailer and then pull the trailer accross the lawn. That last section was so heavy that DM Chainsaw didnt want to lift it with their forklift so the only way to get it out was to pull the trailer sideways with the truck and roll the whole thing. It didnt make economic sense but then just because we are into tree work for the money doesnt mean we have to sell our souls to the bank manager on every job. Planked and made into a blanket chest the wood will live on longer than the extra tenner that the logs might have made.
  19. You could contact the local BT maintenance yard and see if they have any old telegraph poles.
  20. Im going to weld a replacement tooth on my back up hedge cutter head, Ill let you know how it goes but i dont expect it to be to difficult
  21. Seems to have turned into a falling thread a mate of mine fell for a woman! it cost him all he had and reduced him to a shadow of his former self, my conclusion is falling for women is fare more dangerous than falling off ladders
