  1. Had an an arbor eater 4 inch single infeed roller one was enough .

My farther in law joined the fire service when he was 17 he had to do a year for free as you could not join properly till your were 18 he recently told me how much it had changed instead of the get in there and get them out attitude they are all now warned of impending law suits that will be slapped on them. He loved the fire service but walked out 2 years ago due to hse regs and the way the fire service has been run.
  3. I like it as a steel erecter ive seen a lot of guys that have precision balance seen guys walk across 3 inch roof bracing 120 ft up backwards Until:001_smile: 5 years ago we always use to walk roof perlins out hse changed all that.
  4. Sure is a beautiful place do a bit of everything arb, landscaping, grass cutting firewood and estate work, got to keep your options open as there is not a lot of work round thesa parts at the moment and we all seem to be fighting to get it . Where did you work in Herefordshire?

It started off real slow then picked up now its as dead as a door nail taking 1 cube out this morning and another tomorrow but at the end of last season i let all our reg customers have 2 m3 for 120 as it was part seasoned so they will still be burning that . It will pick up at the end of the month it needs to get colder.

  9. Do you think were going to need snow chains this year i know its early i hope not i took a big gamble on it been a hard winter. On a brighter note that sound track reminded me of my miss spent youth clubbing 5nights a week.

  12. A cscs card shows you have a basic knowledge of health and safety on a construction site and most big contractors will not allow you on site with out one the test is easy multi choice question and it does not cost a lot . Do you just need a labours card or is it a job specific one?
  13. Can you see any fatigue in the metal around where it failed how old is your eagle dont fanncy that happing much could be really nasty.
  14. Is this piece of oak any use to any one for milling its near Ludlow on one of the estates we look after its got 3 main stems that split and went different directions if anybody is interested i will got some better pics.
  15. Galiftoid in an aresol can cant go wrong just make sure the area been treated is dry and clean .

Ive had more repeat orders for sycamore than beach it was billeted and stacked under a hedge in march when i started pulling it out at the beginning of October it looked like it had been there 3 years .Like you said only problem is the mould on the bottom of stack . Oh and i cant find any for next season .
  19. Allways find out what the customer wants size species some dont know and need help others are very clear these are the ones to look out for as there harder to please . Luckily we have not had one complaint yet but i am sure it will come. REGARDS MICK:001_smile:
  20. Ill take a pic the next time i go past the yard must have 10000 t of timber in it im told they had 3500 spud boxes before the season started .
