    a few friends round here swear by their old Zetors and my neighbour uses a dealer just over into Wales somewhere who has a good stock of parts incl for older models. Will try to find out which dealer it is.

    exactly - the few 'trees' i've seen growing around there would be very easy to chip - just roll the chipper up to the tip and let the feed pull the chipper down the tree - no need to fell :lol:

    mmmmmm indeed unless they have found a use for a chipper in some other industry cant see what a one would be doing in Shetland :lol: Mind you that may explain the good condition

    had a few that size growing up holly, ash, syc on our overgrown patch. It burns really well as putting a few bits through the fire at the moment

    definitely got issues - the main one me thinks is small wedding tackle as growth in that department seems to have been diverted to between his ears :lol:

    exactly what I would like to avoid - while they are young at least. They can make their own minds up later. A complete ban would probably have a greater chance of them becoming gamers - forbidden fruits etc. Trying to give a bit and then distract em with outdoor activities - thats the cunning plan anyway Over to fleabay in a minute to have a look what is on offer

    Thanks for all the advice - I think - as some of it has confused me a bit more regarding different machines. :lol: easily done mind, as I'm really not into gadgets. Feel a bit like king Canute in the face of the gadget tidal wave, but at least our two do like to swing in the trees and play in the mud as well. The wee ones have played on their friends Wii's and seemed to have enjoyed it hence their numerous hints in the last few months running up to birthday season. As suggested - will keep it basic and simple to start and see how it goes Steve - I doubt they would give me anything on phone contracts as it would take em about ten years to recoup the costs based on my mobile phone spend :lol: Terry

    The children (and missus) keep dropping hints about getting a Wii. With birthdays imminent, have been looking into it and am a bit confused about what I would need to buy. Basic packages on offer seem simple enough, but have been told that a lot of games require more controllers (?). Thinking here about the hand held input thingy-me-bobs rather than game specific accessories. What would everybody recommend starting off with as dont want to get everybody excitedly setting it all up only to realise we dont have certain necesary bits of kit. We are not chasing the latest greatest kit, just something to have a bit of fun with and obviously at a reasonable cost. Advice gratefully recieved by a confused non-gamer Terry

    Felix - take him to the local club meeting and have a word with boffins there (out of earshot of the lad) Good advice will abound or maybe someone there upgrading and willing to pass on their old one at a good price.

    6' 5 &3/4 with similar leg length - went for the same as RobArb. There are still a tad short, but not a big problem with the tall boots Unfortunately got them in the days off the dodgy zips

    Perhaps your intuition/6th sense/gaurdian angel said stop for a reason. You listened and are here to report it. If you hadnt, who knows what could have happened. Better safe than sorry. As said above, job is done and everybody is in one piece so nothing to worry about. In my hangliding days we used to say that you get old pilots and you get bold pilots, but not many old, bold pilots. This can easily be translated into the arb climbing world I would have thought.

    no, but will check with him. I think he is mainly interested in finding a good home for it. He was thinking collectors due to age etc, but if useful for something like milling, add another tenner and I am sure he will be happy.

    cheers Garden Kit. Popped into a shop locally today and they said the same thing, but we have tried the nuts and there is definitely a mismatch on the thread??? something odd going on me thinks

    hi gents silly little problem - my mate has misplaced the sprocket cover nuts for his old 038 farm boss. Where can we find some replacements? He got some new nuts off a local dealer, but they seem to be a different thread on the older saw??? While on here, anyone interested in an old 075AV?? Pre chain brake so probably of interest to collectors. It is a runner, although missing the decompression lever.
