  3. Hi, the WP36 pumps oil every time the lever is pulled to bring the bar down through the timber. The pipe that feeds the lube oil to the bar is the little blue pipe just above the chainsaw motor on the bar mounting. I do not know the age of your machine so I dont know which system yours has (there are 2 types) but regardless of the systems try the following first check there are no kinks in the pipework or anything that would obstruct the flow. You can disconnect the pipes to make sure there is a good flow of oil out the fitting at the tank. with the machine off, pull the operating lever towards you and release 20 times. So as if you were cutting a bit of wood. Its the motion of pulling the bar down that pumps the oil, not the chain turning. There should be a flow of oil running down the bar. Doing that would normally prime it. If it isnt, try putting a bit of pressure on the tank, ie if you have an airline available put a bit of rag the filler hole and apply a bit of air pressure as you pull the lever. There are other things that it could be but try that first and come back to me. Jim
  4. Whats your budget Roy?
  5. Most of the pulleys we sell are rated as say '3 tons'. But that is 3 ton line pull, the actual hook on that pulley is 6 tons. So normallly use a 3 ton block with a 3 ton winch and it is ok to use with a doubled line. As Jon says, a 3 ton winch only actually pulls about 3 ton when the cable is fully unwound, when its all the way in maybe only 1.5 tons anyway.
  6. Has anyone changed the plate on a vehicle with a tacho fitted? Do you have to get the tacho changed so that it has the right reg on it or can you do that yourself?
  7. Its the 1 handed thing that kills that idea. I have come across someone who managed to split their hand having modified their machine as such, an accident that having the splitting handles would have prevented.
  8. I'm not sure how you have managed to go so long without knowing!
  9. Couple of pictures af AGT835TS with 1.5 ton capacity trailer.
  10. Hi, we have an AGT835 in stock as well as a trailer, so if you wanted to come to our yard you would be welcome to have a quick go with an AGT835 with a trailer behind in the yard to see what they are like? Thanks Jim @ Riko
  11. You need road legal E marked tyres rated for the correct load. Also you need E marked suspension units. Also mudguard and mud flaps on the back. Also a E marked tow coupling and breakaway cable, as well as E marked light units and reflectors located in the correct places. Also now required to go through IVA test (which is not a huge deal, but you need to have all the paperwork spot on and everything in order!). So no, that unit is definately not road legal to tow. And it is single handed operation, so could land you in trouble. Also not auto return and single speed, so wont be very fast either! Probably best give it a miss
  12. Only if my mood was 75% better!
  13. Pallets prices will vary depending where you send them to. Local to us about £40 a pallet, but Highlands is about £100 pallet. We use palletways network and generally it goes smoothly.
  14. Hi JAC, retail on an A11 petrol is £1900+vat. But sometimes we have ex-demo/ex-show/good-mood related discounts Jim
  15. At Riko we are looking for a junior salesman to join our expanding team. This would suit someone looking to start a career in machinery sales, and would be office based from Hampshire. No previous experience required, but an understanding of machinery would be an advantage. Please get in touch for more information, PM or email [email protected] Thanks Jim
  16. Ahh, I've just figured out who you are, emailed you at the beginning of the month! Yes, no worries, have a good holiday!
  17. So I'm sure some of you guys saw this little beauty at the APF show, but we currently have in a Forestry spec AGT835 tractor. Its based on the ever po Its a little articulted tractor, but with an impressive 38HP. Fitted with a ROPS/FOPS and a front logging blade. On the back is a stadard car1 3 point linkage and 540rpm PTO. We can fit a 3 or 3.5 ton winch. I have attached a couple of pictures. Price for our ex show unit is £13,900+vat, normally priced at £15,900+vat so this is a good deal! Let me know if you need any more details.
  18. Nothing stopping you putting multiple bits through at once, and we also offer a gripping handle which helps pin them down as you cut! The saw also comes standard with rollers in the trough and also on the log support making it easier to slide the log across for the next cut. We dont include the PTO shaft in the base price as some people dont want it, but let us know if you do and we can price it with it included. Wheels and handles come as standard on all the saws (PTO model included!) Picture showing a standard PTO saw, and also a petrol one with the gripping handle (also can be fitted to the PTO model)
  19. Does anyone have pictures/info on any sleeper bridges they have built? Got one to do in the next month or so before it gets too wet to get machines on site, but I have never done one before! Thanks
  20. Everyones economics are different. That is not in question, but I appreciate the help that has been pm'd to me Thanks Jim
  21. I already bought a whole new machine, but I will repair the old in my own time to use as a backup and over rivers etc. Parts are not massively expensive. I guess that means none of you guys have done it?
  22. Has anyone ever fitted new pinion gears to the hedgecutting head on a HL85 longreach hedgecutter? (0-90 degree) I cant figure out how to get the one out of the part that goes on the pole that the driveshaft goes into? Thanks Jim
  23. What those guys said! You are making me redundant!
  24. TCD, got one at the APF, come and have a look. Take it you are going?
  25. See you there Chris. Got the usual plus a few tractors. Weather looks good!
