  1. Look at resale value too. Triaxles hold their money better, and Ifor will sell for almost what a new one does, so cost of ownership is minimal. Buy any other brand and you are always telling people 'its as good as an ifor' when trying to sell it. People just know Ifor (regardless of how the quality is). And definitely get a 3500kg even if you dont need it! Better tyres, brakes, axles, and you'll sell it easier! I must prefer triaxles, very forgiving to bad loads, dont move about as much on the road, and stop better. Ifor 16 triaxle flatbed with ramps and drop sides £3500+vat
  2. It might be possible to fit a diverter so you could swap the controls a bit easier depending on the attachment What size machine do you have btw? I have a tilting bucket for a 2.5-3 tonner I'm selling
  3. You might find the post knocker a bit slow to go down as I expect the ports are smaller on the boom swing valve so it might restrict the return oil flow?
  4. If you buy right then you might even make money on it. I would suggest 2.6 or 2 tonner, much easier to sell on and you could even trailer it to do a few jobs for people. A small machine will do most what a big machine will if you take your time.
  5. Trust me, drive one and you will want one. The big TRH is also particularly awesome!
  6. I have this little 85HP monster for sale if anyone is looking for a powerful reversible alpine?
  7. Is anyone looking for a large alpine? I have a 85hp Landini reversible alpine that I am thinking of selling soon.
  8. There is a diverter mounted just on the quick attach bracket, so you just press a button on the joystick to change function. I can price it up and PM you no worries. Or depending on your digger I can potentially add a 2nd aux for you, I have done this on a few machines now.
  9. Fitted this grab to a brand new TB219 1.8 ton machine the other day for a customer. Fixed grab and rotator, a bit of a weapon!
  10. Hywel makes some good gear John
  11. I'm looking for a used tracked chipper, minimum 8" but prefer 9 or 10. I've always had PTO chippers but I think tracked will be better for ground impact. Seeing alot of Safetraks about for sensible money, are they decent? I've not used one before, I did repair one a while back and it was a bit of a pain! Otherwise any others to look out for, or that anyone knows? missed a Shleising MX330 that I rather liked the look of. Ideally looking to keep under 10k because it will only get maybe 100 hours a year! But for a good machine it can stretch....
  12. Hi Andy, which model splitter? Presumably you are talking about the return filter in the silver housing bolted to the oil tank? Most are washable, but some had a paper type element Jim
  13. Can anyone recommend someone who can do a tree survey in Reading? I think its just a single tree that's near a house because the mortgage company is insisting on having one! (New one on me!)
  14. Mines basically the same as yours then, it works a treat, nice and stable. It was this threda that made me want one to be honest. I'll PM you in a mo
  15. I import them from Germany. Very solid bit of kit. I can PM you a price later when I'm back in the office if you like?
  16. Thanks, I only have a breaker line factory fitted with the slider controls on the left joystick. So if I trace these wires for the trigger button it sounds like it might be ideal to switch a diverter Ideally I'd install a factory extra aux but who knows how expensive that is!
  17. Just got the fixed grab and rotator fitted to the machine. Such an impressive tool, cant wait to get this on a job. I can supply these if anyone is looking!
  18. Oh wow ok, I didnt even know it had such a thing, how does it work? The manual doesnt seem to give much away!
  19. Can anyone help, I have a Takeuchi TB228, on the front of the joysticks there is a trigger like button, anyone know what they are for? Or anyone have a wiring diagram so I can figure it out?
  20. I have some trees that need work as part of a larger contract. Would anyone from Bognor area with a 3 man team and chipper like to quote for me? There are about 4-5 trees to come down and be ground out.
  21. I have a TB230, very impressed with it. Very powerful and very fast. Also find it quite stable too, dont really use the blade so much. Not been too impressed with JCB mini digger offerings to be honest. Highly recommend the TB230 though.
  22. Does anyone know where you can get vi vis tshirts with long sleeves, printed on the back. Really want long sleeves for protection against stingers and for strimming etc. Any suggestions? Thanks Jim
  23. What would I expect to pay day rate for a 3 ton digger with a mulcher (operated etc)? Cheers
  24. Evening all, I'm looking for an experienced and safe team of guys to sub some tree work to across some sites in locations in a band from from portsmouth to southampton. Some of it is TPO trees so needs to be accurate careful work to spec. PM me for more info, some needs to be done ASAP then ongoing work. Thanks Jim
  25. Ok awesome, thats good info. I might look at a kx71-3 as well then, looks like its just a touch wider which might be helpful. I'm on 35mm pins and the attachments are worth more than the digger so definitely needing to retain them!
