  1. One of our holiday house customers asked us to take this away, I think someone came off it so he wanted it gone. my present to myself😁, handy around the farm . think it’s about 40 years old, everything works and starts on third kick.
  2. Utility work and no stress? I don’t think so.
  3. I think back end would be same as MF 265 (but open to correction 😁) If you can find one for breaking, part’s could be compatible. do you know if you have a hydraulic pump in the back end already? or does loader work off engine mounted pump?
  4. Just a heads up to users to keep an eye on the taper locks on the track drive sprockets. one of mine came loose and broke. simple enough fix , taper lock cost around €25 so I got a spare also. when I checked the other side it took about half turn of allen key to tighten.
  5. Seen something similar on a large rubber duck on a YouTube video. was thinking of making up one using some of my “worn past their limit” chipper blades.
  6. This one was diesel .
  7. There was one on Fb treebay or maybe arbbay a couple of days ago. 450 hours for £10k. looked mint in photos.
  8. Where I live the most things that get stolen are outboard boat engines, livestock trailers and quadbikes. hardly anybody risks leaving outboards on boats anymore. there have been a few instances in recent years, where outboards without trackers have been stolen while no attempt to take the ones nearby with trackers fitted. The thieves seem to be well equipped and plan their thefts really well.
  9. I’ve tried various grease gun heads and found the G coupler the best and easiest to clamp on and off, a bit pricey but saves time and mess.
  10. Heard years ago(don’t remember where) 8 to 1 volume of branches to volume of woodchip . tight hedge like that would be similar, I would think.
  11. Great saw! ignition went in mine after around 2 and a half years and Husqvarna replaced it for free (I think there might have been a recall on some of the early ones). still works good as new.
  12. Easy enough dismantle to get what’s left of the coupling out. any good Agri parts or hydraulic factors may stock or will easily source new coupling
  13. Couldn’t find it again. must be gone.
  14. There was one on treebay fb a few days ago.
  15. We’ve done a few road jobs for wind turbine transport recently, The section in clip is over 70 metres long. IMG_0425.MOV
  16. Usually 5 days, Saturday fixing farming pricing ,maybe moving equipment . I try to avoid tree work on Sunday to clear head and separate one week from the next. We used to work a lot of Saturdays but I now find staff are happier and daily output is higher when everyone gets two full days away from each other at the weekend. In an ideal world I think a 4 day week would make for a better life balance and probably a longer career for a lot of tree workers.
  17. Steel tank built into chassis with no drain bung. brown goo ,probably some rust from tank and years of various dirt.
  18. Hi Stephen. 10 years later . how did this work out for you? my Valtra is taking up a fair bit of crud from the fuel tank lately. I hadn’t heard of the fuel cleaning machines . Thanks
  19. Really enjoyed that . Thanks for posting.
  20. The 230 Tw would be better for bushy material than the 6 inch Forst. (wider feed rollers etc) if I was buying second hand , I’d definitely be looking for TW 230 35 horsepower diesel, or TW 280. Buying new I’d keep an open mind and get demo on Tw, forst, green mech.
  21. Yes. You’d find it a lot better than farmi on conifers
  22. Probably what should do alright (I’m just a bit mean) im guessing they’ll be expensive.
  23. Thanks Mick. I think they’ve been touched up a good few times and the surfaces are all a bit rounded so it’s hard to get a decent edge. I can turn up the roller speed if I need to and I might need to grind a bit off the top roller blocks to keep the gap between the rollers the same.
  24. Hi . Feed rollers on my 141 chipper are now quite blunt. they’ve been sharpened previously, once since I’ve owned it. I was thinking of talking both rollers to an engineering works and having about.5 mm to 1mm surface ground off each face. Has anybody tried this? I assume new rollers of this size will be expensive . Thanks
