  1. I would say a couple of years working for a firm, never mind numbers and letters. Sorry if I sound too old school,
  2. Rather overdramatic, you were not born with them, you chose to have them, if some people don't like them well fair enough, you are not a persecuted minority.
  3. take some wet wipes to work:001_smile:
  4. Now I am sure people more informed than me can add something else but I am told that the 200 has been made with a stronger bottom end than the 300 (which I have) making it better for tuning. Won"t be offended if I am contradicted
  5. No but the master of your destiny, thats something else, self employed for me, 20 years now, no regrets.
  6. I have no tattoos, if I did and I was pricing I would cover them up. Once you have the job and are working in this day and age i do not see a problem, but, and its a big but piercings and those tubes that people put in their earlobes are, to me, repulsive. To people of a certain generation they are off putting. Just my opinion.
  7. Oh yeah, thanks
  8. I have googled murcins, without any relevant result; what are they?
  9. Had a mate who liked a drink, one morning found his car had been stolen, got a new one on the insurance, few weeks later drove near his house and saw his old car, realised he had parked it a few streets from his house whilst scuttered and forgot, he just ignored it, (after removing his effects)
  10. very good, few others on here have need of that paperclip:001_smile:
  11. I have been googling them this afternoon, they seem to be quite rare in europe, but common stateside, unless someone knows otherwise......
  12. love the dingo, what model is that?
  13. Cannot believe you changed your name! the first one was great!
  14. It's a chance to do it again without making the same mistakes.
  15. Yes i did, just worked it out (whilst driving the transit)
  16. Not sure I fully understand your assertion on the legality of carrying volume, but I got the tape measure out. transit floor 2.1 x 3.1 = 6.5 x height of 1.2mtrs = 7.8 cubic mtrs Land rover 130 1.8 X 2.8 = 5.04 x height of 1mtr = 5.04 cubic mtrs Now you can probably claim that you can put your chip box higher on the 130 to make up the difference, however even at 1mtr the landy rocks like a boat on corners not least because of the 300mm inferiorty in axel width, and even with the helper springs is as often as not on the bump stops. Plus the mud terrains are bulging dangerously under heavy load. whereas the twin wheels on the transit have little problem.
  17. Volume not weight
  18. Good point, you can carry double in a Transit which will cost less than half. (ps I have both so no point anyone telling tall tales about how much their Rover will take)
  19. Same here, if it aint broke........
  20. I will work for anyone no matter what [usort[/u]......... as long as they pay!
  21. Too right, these people will always be there, they will only get the small scale work, why worry about it?
  22. very very cool.
  23. I watched it and enjoyed it, picked up a couple of things i have subsequently used, the only thing that could be a cause for concern(and it's just a thought) is that someone inexperienced could do this and find a butt end flicking up into their face or swinging back into them at the trunk, finding or guessing the balance point is a tricky thing. I was rigging a large oak soon after watching this and I used some techniques that you were showing for experimental purposes and found that I had to re-rig a few to tying into the butt because i did not like what they may have done. Anyway thanks for posting.
  24. yes it is a PITA but what can you do?
  25. Thanks for posting, shows even the most experienced can get it wrong, I am off to work in a minute, will be especially prudent. Get well soon.
