  1. Check out 4.19 http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/video-forum/38861-rope-rigging-video-thexman.html
  2. I picked up a couple of 22mm Parrel beads from my local chandlery supplier for 36p each this afternoon
  3. I guess retailers have a vested interest.
  4. Thanks very much , i knew someone would know
  5. I had a sample one from Harkie to use and abuse and i absolutely loved it , i have tried Komets , Austria's etc in the past but they didn't come close comfort wise. I've unfortunately had to give the sample back but my new one is on its way. Can't wait as climbing in my Willans is making me sad
  6. I've just taken delivery of a damn sexy Pulleysaver courtesy of Old Snake , but i need a retrieval ball to fit through the Pinto rig pulley ? Just thought i'd ask quickly as i'm sure someone on here will know ? Jim
  7. Should keep the crazy horse lady out of your hair.
  8. I've done some horrid leaners and found (where possible) a line in another tree somewhere on the backside of the lean will keep you nice and stable. It also allows you to lean right round to do your cuts.
  9. Cheers Hadleigh, Think i've cracked it now. Only been removing 9 strands of the covers instead of 10. Also leaving 2 full strands of cover and core then tapering back from those in the crossover. Much better. Can't wait to get that RG.
  10. Nice work. I'm yet to try splicing Double braids yet. Find 16 strand pretty straight forward now. Double braid just looks a bit of a head f$*k ?
  11. I would replace your Cambium saver or go with a rope guide. As for the smock , they are excellent bits of kit. We've just been issued them at work with our logo etc on the back and they look top. My workmate has had the "test" one they gave the company for a year and its still waterproof and very , very tough. No rips , holes or signs of wear. But they are not breathable , but lovely when the northerly winds are biting.
  12. I've found the last couple of months good too. I'm employed but have had plenty of weekend work on. I've worked every saturday for the last 5 weeks and have 3 more jobs lined up. Similar reason to , Platerers and carpets aren't cheap Best of luck on your move.

  14. Somebody call a vet because because this Swan is siick ! Ooooooosh ! This is all you need , problem solved. On a more serious , helpful note. I think you need to try it again , sounds like the combination of anchor point etc was really working against you. If you cambium saver is that short try girth hitching a pulley on tape sling as your anchor point. Less friction the better.
