  1. Bugger. I was gonna say something along those lines.
  2. As above really , i love the look of the set up in this video at 45 seconds in. Would definately introduce a Pinto in to my strop if i can hang in it when needed as per the video. Be very handy for tricky climbs , like having a second end of your rope set-up. Kanal tilhørende treehamel - YouTube
  3. Under Armour or Helly Hansen base layer , Fleece/Fleece Gilet with my Stein Jacket on top. Personally found the Helly Hansen better value. As for feet , a thin pair of socks followed by a good quality pair of socks of your choice. I've found TEKO to be the best if not a little pricey. Don't wear gloves , its not that cold in the Hilux. My two pence worth.
  4. Afraid not, but i'll keeping an eye on this thread. I wasn't aware of that harness but i'm currently in the market for one.
  5. Ha ! Did you climb it ?
  6. Its in Dunster , Somerset Went to see that one myself recently , quite fancy climbing that for fun. Hell of a tree.
  7. Worth knowing.
  8. 120' Douglas fir & Hybrid black poplar. That Eucy is amazing. I bet 240' made your bum twitch.
  9. Got a pulleysaver on the way and wanted to experiment with some of the configurations. Has anyone used the equalising configuration like in this vid ? (skip to 2.50) If so , what did you add to the system ? They mention a semi-ridged eye. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_zDuHgVbBk]pulleySAVER - YouTube[/ame] And also has anyone used the 3-1 hauling set-up with a DMM revolver added ? (skip to 4.05) If so , does it work with a simple distel or will it only work with a hitch climber (i can't see it working with simple set-up) ? Really fancy this for going back up after lunch. Thanks, Jim
  10. Haha. Been there. All sorted now.
  11. "Holy thread revival Batman" I know , maybe i should of started a new thread. Anyone know what happened to Hadleigh (old snake) ? Can't seem to get hold of him and i wanted to get a pulleysaver made ?
  12. Hey Hadleigh,

Hope your well. Did you recieve my latest PM's. Forums been playing a bit.

    Thanks,

    Jim

  13. Alternative to a half hitch before a timber hitch termination when rigging/lowering. Good termination after a series of half hitches for attaching throwlines to ropes.
  14. We use this knot alot for this set-up. Its taught on the UA2. Its brilliant when its been under alot of tension , very easy to slacken off and undo.
  15. I use 8mm Reepschnur/Sirius tied with 5 turns and fishermans each end on my main line with Yale XTC. I also use the same set up on my positional/side strop tied really short with a pulley for single handed tending.
  16. Agreed. Superb hitch , i'd never go back to a prussic. I use it on my main line and on my strop with a pulley for one handed tending.
  17. 576xp. Run mine with a 20" and 24" bar. Superb saw.
  18. Get it to a local shop. Please don't spend a grand in Halfords , you can get such a nicer bike elsewhere. You won't go wrong with a On-one 456. Lovely bikes and great specs for the money. Also check out the Marin and specialized range of hardtails. Depends what sort of riding and how serious you are ? On-One 456 Trail SLX £1,099.00
  19. Thats ace !
  20. As above. Seen some blinding looking ones on here.
  21. I'm after a Splitting Axe for doing a few logs , i don't want to spend the earth , maybe £30 tops ? Obviously a Fiskars jobbie would be nice but i really can't justify it.
  22. God damn that looks complicated.
