  8. I had been learning English for 8 years back home and getting pretty good results too..It was until when I arrived to the UK and couldn't understand the damn thing you people were saying, I have then realized that learning all that grammar was complete waste of time.. It's like learning how to fell a tree from the textbooks and claiming your CS's for it. I might have forgotten fair bit of grammar but that's what you get for mixing with propa English
  9. unless you live in the area and mix with locals you can scrap any classes. Watching movies, reading books/newspapers etc and listening to songs/radio may help a lot also forcing yourself to learn new words every day and revising the ones you've learnt on a regular basis will help a lot. Vocabulary first followed by the grammar. Personal experience. Good luck!
  10. your girlfriend is that fat that she needs a sat nav to find her own arse.

  13. fantastic idea! I've seen fire engines being turned into camper vans before. And you can always filter through the traffic a lot quicker than most of the unfortunate commuters in their expensive Jags!

    Wages

thanks Btw, do people get paid more on short term contracts or would the same rates apply? What about the geeky consultants? You surely earn more when you call yourself a consultant, right?

    Wages

Hi! I was just wondering what are the various 'tree worker's' wages starting with a groundsman and finishing with whatever is at the top? I'm looking around for some work and would be interested to know how high can one climb? Thanks
