  1. some people need pointing out at what they did wrong for them to understand what's not right..
  2. this is another relevant page for you SOW the seeds of the future | Save Our Forests | Save Our Woods not like it's going to change anything anyway...
  3. Came across this if anyone of you might be interested. Good luck! Chainsaw operator, Five Rivers Environmental Contracting Ltd advertised with CJS.
  4. can't think of any..but most of them are due to the lack of food or other changes in optimum conditions.
  5. of course! Esp those who inseminate themselves, ye?
  6. well said *bows* I have been thinking the same sort of thing for the last few years... Forced castrations is the only way to go with certain fast breeding pedigrees...They ain't gonna change otherwise..
  7. numbers are power. It's in our genes..we were born to reproduce. I could throw some scary statistics at you but it's against the forum ethics (so let's keep it this way). If you people stop reproducing, the future will pretty much be based on the laws of chemical diffusion..looking pretty dark (or shall I say brown or yellow in this case). It is up to you whether you want your kids to become minors in the land of majors. I reckon mother nature will take care of numbers if people don't. Let's multiply and see what happens p.s. I'm an immigrant and I eat your food p.s.s. I work hard for it and pay my respect and taxes.

  10. That's ok...My fault for being too lazy to express myself properly..
  11. For those who got my comment wrong: 1. What I've really meant was that 'well done for surviving' the initial learning process. Wearing no PPE and having no supervision whatsoever while using the saw for the first few times sounds pretty damn dangerous to me. But people do lods of other dangerous things..hence... 2. I couldn't care less what you do to yourself. You asked for our opinion - I gave you mine. I personally wouldn't dare trying to use the chainsaw with no experienced people around purely because I'm a wimp and value my life far too much. All in all, I think you don't really need any paper to prove that you know what you are doing but what you do need is someone experienced around while you learn. Sometimes it's simply not worth learning from your mistakes...
  12. well...it would have been too small to refer to any other part of the soft tissue.. I'll check those 'nipples' out tomorrow if I get a chance (along with filters and stuff) Thanks for your advice everyone
  13. can you remember the first time ever you've used the saw? Did you have all the PPE and did you feel safe? Are you self-taught? I had a neighbour building his own house... Nearly chopped his own head off..The chap used a saw for yonks..He really did 'know' what he was doing too...
  14. I would say Tinder fungus..but let more experienced to confirm
  15. don't think it does...I'll have a look for exact model on Tuesday. It starts fine every time but dies as soon as enough revs are given.
  16. it's a husqvarna..prob 100 years old..Can't remember the exact model..it's left at work at the mo
  17. I do. I'm a volunteer ranger there. One of their foresters will me leaving next month or so. It's in Hertfordshire. Beautiful place, loads of various equipment, nice team, poo money..but great start! Keep an eye on their site for the vacancy coming up soon if you are interested.
  18. It's done that several times now. It would work fine and then if I stop to refuel or leave it to cool down for whatever reason it would start fine but as soon as a full rev given it would give a little fart and die. The air filter has been checked and proper clean out given. Any ideas? Cheers
  19. National Trust. Forester. 13k a year. No accommodation allowance. No travel allowance. Pretty damn beautiful sites! There'll be a position where I work pretty soon...It's more of a life style rather than a job I think...
  20. Great! thanks
  21. very good
  22. I've had a very interesting chat with some guys about how things do change when you get in real wild world..meaning stretching the boundaries and braking the rules. How often are you asked to do things that might/are potentially dangerous, which you do (or not) just so you can keep the job? Things that you might not have been trained to do or things that could harm you like using the chainsaw on your tiptoes for example or not wearing an appropriate PPE? How often do you get to hear 'it's a real life, get on with it'?
