  1. I'll be doing my 30/31 training pretty soon too I was just wondering (as I haven't found out yet) do all training centres provide you with the same stuff..I mean trousers + helmet? I was thinking of getting myself a pair of chainsaw wellies as they are cheaper than propa boots but not sure if this is gonna work..
  2. sorry I'm sure new members will enjoy it anyway. Makes me dizzy every time I watch this.
  3. I'm new here so sorry if this has been posted before. I've found this video couple of days ago and thought you may like it Strange & Amazing on Yahoo! Video
  4. Try presoaking it in Vanish/washing up liquid/warm water solution for good few hours before wash.
  5. oooh thanks for all the answers! Very interesting..nothing what I would have expected Just to clarify..I'm 25 but kept myself reasonably active for most of my life until recently as I had a kid..Now I need to get back on track and clear this rust away! I'm slightly mad as I have uni degree and could comfortably sit on my bum in the warm and dry lab for 18k as a starting wage...but I believe that the joy of work should come first! After all, that's where we spend most of our time. In meantime, I think I'll stick with your advice and get myself some proper qualifications and then see what happens next. Have checked the prices today.. I'm pretty happy to stay on the ground for a while too, got no issues with that. p.s. would anyone be interested in that trainee job drop me a message and I'll forward the details. It's in St.Albans.
  6. Oh..OK..thanks..Sound encouraging so far just need to find someone to employ and train me now without taking the mickey *claps her hands in excitement* One more question guys (and surprisingly gals), what is the normal wage for a trainee arb and how long does it normally take? Found a local ad offering 10k as a starting wage for 2 years..dunno..
  7. Just wanted to say hi to all the forumers before you eat me alive and now I need your opinion... Do you think that women can actually perform as good as blokes in arboricultural jobs? Do you know any females doing it at all (except your secretaries of course:001_tongue:)
