I looked into Lantra but it's all too complicated..you kind of have to pay the full amount yourself and then they 'might' give you some of the money back:sneaky2: Nevermind, I've got 80% off my training for CS30/31 and the First Aid @ Work :thumbup:Only just found out..hoping to do the courses sometime in January. 10. OK you win These people have some guts alright Teemeup, do agree...
  11. Thanx John. E-mailed them at the Badger Hill and will speak to Salcey next week although there is nothing mentioned on their website. I've got you wrong in the previous post..I thought you were saying that the Badger Hill were the part of Shuttelworth blond brain
  12. sounds like a good business opportunity eh? I haven't tried BTS but will check them out next week! Cheers! p.s. I spoke to Oaklands last week and they said they only do CS30..weird...
  13. I'm struggling to find a reasonably priced one... Shuttelworth college - too expensive with a poor feedback.. St.Albans (Oaklands college) - only do CS30 and that would be £350 Enfield ( Capel Manor) - whopping £885! Please suggest any other places nearby...ThanX
  14. OK..the college in Enfield charges £885! And the one in St.Albans only do CS30...
  15. Depending on how old you are...If you are over 25(?) and have been struggling £££ you could apply for Learning for Life funding. They cover up to 80% (100% in exceptional circumstances) for well planned training with costs covering £250 - £1500. This would be more than enough if you qualify..You would have to write them an extremely sad and touching letter (preferably with a potential suicidal details) and also explain what are you going to do with this course and how would this improve your career and life. Ring your local colleges for more info. Hope this helps p.s. I'm pretty much sure it applies to any region but do check!
  16. yup yup! This is the one..the only one I could find through using google search anyways. Thanks, Brushcutter, I will phone those other places up tomorrow I'm applying for funding with Learning for Life and they cover anything 1000-1500 quid so if I manage to get my course cheaper I could do something else too! Maybes H&S stuff
  17. argh it's too quick! I will be applying for funding and they might take anything up to 10 weeks with their decisions :argh: It's also nearly 90 miles away from me...I wish we had prices like these in our area *D'oh*
  18. CS30 maintain and operate chainsaw(NPTC)-2days CS31 fell and process small trees (NPTC) - 3days That's all I know... Can't find any other training centres round here to compare the prices..
  19. Just received a brochure form the college..It would be £820 with them. Is that OK? Lantra course would only be £500..I'm not getting how it works..
  20. I do if it's bloody raining! Since I've got no employment lights shining on me just yet I might as well stick with a pair of wellies for a time being as long as they would be accepted for training purposes..
