  1. Will be available in 20 - 60 - 200 LTRS but amounts will depend on freight costs. I am in the office this morning and hope to have a response from them soon.
  2. Well in Sweden Finland and Norway we all use Pine Spruce and Birch to keep warm.
  3. He should purchase a Euro Lottery ticket this weekend!
  4. 4x4 Truck/Unimog/Fastrac type vehicle. Possible on the back to load trailers. The version we had was on a Skog 8 with the 2453 crane. Smooth cranes to use but not sure if there is a more current version made by additional firms?
  5. We have looked everywhere although the B*****D who called us said if we did not offer a decent price for our machine back he would consider breaking it for the engine and gearbox:blushing: We know it produces a high grade woodchip as it has a unique spiral blade. Laimet made the chipping section. (With the small size it would produce 40 cubic metres and hour if you can keep up with infeeding) Someone must know where it went to and I am sure it was stolen to be used. Possible in Ireland but also still on the UK mainland. People can PM us and call crimestoppers who also will give cash rewards:thumbup:
  6. The Forum mods have removed the name of the person involved (Data Act) so if you wish to help and would like to know who this is then PM me. (Freedom of Info Act) This should keep all of us happy and legal.
  7. Should have mentioned the wheel tracks left behind are narrow and like those of the old Nissan Cabstar pickup truck. Blue traces of paint with a red oxide undercoat were also dropped. The complete wood fuel machine was over two tons!
  8. Lock the vehicle up well if leaving in that area. There is a long stop vehicle park at the airport which is safe.
  9. The special wood fuel chipping machine in the pictures was made by AC Price in Bentham and originally owned by the Salcey tree firm. We purchased from them and a while ago it was stolen by ****** ***** and his Traveller mates. (Police Info) The tree world is a small place so I am still offering a decent reward to someone that provides info as to where this is and us having it back to use and the people that stole it going to prison. (We were in the process of producing high grade fuel for the National Forest Visitor Centre green boiler system) It has AVON tyres with a twin axle and a hitch height to go with Unimogs. Original in Yellow but we were painting NATO green to hide. 180HP Mercedes engine and gearbox. It had the business postcode all over the machine. A person did call me and confirm he had it and arranged to meet at Alfreton Industrial Estate but did not turn up. I have much more info but do not wish to post on public forum.
  10. Thanks. We have done public demos in various woodlands for a long time and needed a basic base to improve and continue this. I will keep an eye out for some Iron Age piggies. Have a look on Ecolots.
  11. I have the vehicle to use with a crane however I am interested to know if this is the original PTO driven Bedford winch and the overall condition of the cabin as this model does have rust problems:001_rolleyes: Unusual to have winch and Atlas unit on the same vehicle.
  12. Pigs! That's fine work. We used to breed a herd of Iron Age ones (Tamworth/Wild Boar Cross) I am in the process to purchase a large mixed woodland to use for sustainable income and at the same time educate the general public. Some children from cities have never seen a wood. I know the "Chase" well which was a Royal Hunting area then taken over by the MOD and now a muddle but a good site for the APF Show.
  13. Consider the wood source and size of pieces to process and how often it will be used.
  14. Which are the best current general purpose cranes on the market at reasonable trade prices? I did have a Mowi from new which was ideal but the current range seems expensive. I had considered a little used MOD Atlas crane but not sure if spares still available and conversion to move wood.
  15. The more remote and difficult the woodland access the less expensive the price. Much interest at present with all the FC press issues. Leases involve as much time and costs as an outright purchase and one does not own the site and make final decisions.
  16. Clearview 650 with the normal back boiler to run hot water and heating system. In the cabin a simple Jotul. In the woods use use a "Hotpoint Special" which I made from the stainless drum of a washing machine. (Used the curved glass door section for a bird bath)
  17. Local NFU office was helpful to us.
  18. The public are often clueless due to the comments and actions we have often seen when working in woodlands. (Covering fresh cut wood lengths with soil to make cycle ramps/asking how far down the charcoal kiln mine goes/why are we doing deforestation to name a few) People can have a right to an opinion on life in general provided it is formed on correct facts and the action taken does not cause serious issues to the people that do all the hard work keeping the woods looking nice for the public to walk in with the children and dogs at the weekend whilst earning an income. I like to leave woodlands 100% improved to the condition before we went in. Regarding comments of welcome to the UK is an odd one. Where do you think I am from:thumbdown: Be interested as to the work you do to earn an income?
  19. Perhaps then he could contact Dennis Booth who is one and ask him where the special Laimet woodfuel chipper (one of two in the UK made by A C Price at Bentham) he stole with his mates is as we need it back? This was several seasons ago and there is still a reward for decent info:thumbup: He is linked to the Tony Lane Camp in Newark:thumbdown: There is a firm down south that makes nice shepherds cabins with stoves in.
  20. Purchase a woodland and if large enough it will keep you busy until too old to work in one.
  21. I have no problem with this provided local forestry firms are given a decent chance to purchase as at least it might help stop all the 80% imported wood products. Do not want people like Woodland/National Trust's to purchase as often most work is given to unemployed people "working" for the BTCV instead of local legal firms:001_huh:
  22. "Save our Forests" is what we have done for over 20 years and wish the public would stop being involved in something it has no idea about. I run a sustainable business which has won awards for being green and would love to purchase a decent size woodland to improve and expand the business but the chances of this now due to the scaremongering in the press from some so called green pressure charities who run as business for tax purposes is finished. FC has withdrawn woodland from John Clegg in England. Makes me ************************************************
  23. Worth looking at Eric Hunter Limited who have a good range of decent tools but not cheap.
  24. Forestry seems to be the one professional trade that the public become involved with when it has no clue at all. I have never gone into an office and told that person how to do the work they are trained/skilled and experienced at. Farmers grow food and people do not run to the press complaining and are happy to be fed. I wish people would consider where the wooden chairs and table at home/white paper/toilet rolls/fencing poles/panels all come from? It is ONLY 16% being sold so wish the public would stop moaning. Some of us use more sustainable methods than a £300,000 machine.
