  1. managed to pick up a tracked dumper that had been converted to a drill rig we are gonna put a timber rack and tow point on it for pulling the arb trolley we are also gonna build a grinder head for it with hyd controls we are getting a bit hacked off using the pedestrian grinder so i think itll be an ideal platform for it
  2. defo fuel restriction fill the fuel filter up and try it or run it on a 5 gallon drum
  3. this is an easy repair drain the tank measure from the centre of the pin remove the cylinder or compress it to get it out the road cut of the horizontal plate gouge out the cracks with grinder fill up with weld grind flat with flap disc this helps stop cracks forming get a plate of weldox or similar spec plate make it bigger than the damaged area go for 10mm thick refit the horizontal plate removing 10 ish mm from the welded end hey presto job done after welding use low hi 7018 rods or if you want to mig aws 5.18 i think. hope this helps

  6. got the chance of a tracked barrow are they anyuse for the rigours of tree work? do they fall to bits easily

  10. it also depends on th size of the pump whether 11 hp is enough if the pumps too big you can always slow it down with a pulley set up our splitter is only 5.5hp and it does 22ton
  11. use a dremel or a grinder to cut a groove then use a taper lock coupling and a key to connect either onto a set of pulleys or a drive coupling then cut the end taper bit off the crank to shorten it easy peesy to work out tonnage or force pounds multiply relief valve pressure x bore area i.e. bore is 100mm so 50 x50 x 3.14 x 4000 psi =31400 lbf then google the conversion to tons i think its divide it by 2200 so it would be 14.2 tons

  13. yep they released him on wednesday at loch lyon but now he's officially a missing person found out its an 03 transit with a wooden rack on top
  14. possibly oban fort william direction keep an eye out up forest tracks if anybodys out and about he is 36 with dirty blonde thin hair and slim build 5ft 10 ish
  15. my cousin has went missing he was last spotted in killin area on wed so anybody up that neck of the woods keep an eye out for a white transit van up that neck of the woods ie west coast loch lyon direction he has already attempted suicide twice this week if you see him call the cops please
  16. they are also the right height for catching the basket on a cherry picker
  17. when you are fitting blades smear loctite between the pocket and the back of the blade on the two faces and bolt it together and make sure they are spotlessly clean to stop the fretting
  18. got one it works ok for what it is i thought it was a bit lite for what i was using it for i.e. 30t dump truck diff you will still need a stiff brush for it that was the only thing it needed
  19. some sort of hyd accumulator possibly for feed roller tension my guess
  20. it only does it when its off load and yep you could singe a fag on it, i dont think it could be inferior chinese engineering surely not the chinese are renowned for there fine copying ie still and husky 395 copies
  21. our stump grinder has started shooting flames out the exhaust any theories as why i can only think its getting hot with use and igniting fuel thats present when the rev limiter is cutting in ps its a honda 13 hp copy i think its made by whaloo ping pong crap engine company
