  1. Sweet 130. Is that an original G4 by any chance?
  2. Im sure they may do. I make sure that my kit is clean and well presented. My thoughts are that a smart appearance (clean) also gives an impression that you take a pride regardless of sign writing. And of course there are many a sign written truck rumbling round covered in muck with bits falling off that look very unprofessional. It's all down to personal preference and having had both.... I prefer a smart, well kept truck (no sign writing)...... For now! ;-)
  3. Very smart. Although may I say... some of the busiest folk I know don't have sign writing. Personally I've never been busier and I don't currently have it.
  4. Looks great, hard as nails, distorts when drying....In a nutshell!
  5. Didn't think it would be long before I saw a post from you on this thread dave 😉
  6. I'd like to see the results alex.
  7. I've got four 12 ft long boards of dark brown oak drying in my lumber store and I think it's some of the best wood I've ever seen.... I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I think it's stunning!
  8. Wow that is incredible colour. I'm guessing Fistulina hepatica would have been busy in that tree to produce such a dark brown stain?
  9. Smart and simple. Saying that though, I no longer have sign writing.
  10. Wow. I bet you're enjoying yourself with those sticks. Please put up more pics as and when you mill the rest.
  11. None to spare I'm affraid jonner. I'm a big fan of knives and axes and you cannot have enough!!
  12. I bet that's great. Just a bog standard handle on my 660 mate.
  13. Except for the girly heated handles (gotta keep the hands warm!)
  14. Yeah that sticky sticks! I can vouch for it!!
  15. Fair play and well done Paul. Great to see a new bunch of fresh faced arbs in the making. I'm sure they will take a lot from your teaching and of course your infectious enthusiasm. 👍
  16. I grew up next door to a farm and have had a 90 and 2x 130 ' s..... does that count?!
  17. Awesome work Twig! I'm kicking myself now as I ringed up a huge horse chestnut stem that was virtually all burr a few years ago. I didn't think it was good for anything. Looking at the figure on that bowl I made a big mistake!!
  18. Watching alex honnald makes my hands sweaty. Super human.
