  1. That looks epic!! On my bucket list to do for sure!
  2. Haven't had an iPhone since that day at the Bristol and west landy show (2 or 3 years ago). Chucked the iPhone back at o2 and got a proper phone!!
  3. Yeah your right. I've always found acacia to be stable too.
  4. Ah.....right. I haven't been doing that. Thanks for the tip!
  5. Or short for..........................
  6. On the whole I end up with pleasant results. It was just specifically plum that I've had problems trying to get it to stay stable.
  7. Sumac has got some great colour to it. I've Got some lumps knocking around somewhere but not actually turned any.
  8. I bet it's cold in Somerset tonight jon. I'm up in wraxall again and it's baltic. Luckily the gritters have been out.
  9. The only time I seal is when cutting blanks. I use liquid emulsified wax.
  10. Ok thanks, I'll be leaving a bit more wood for bigger bowls in future.
  11. I'll send you mine and collect another for myself next time I'm at treekit
  12. On the subject of stickers.... have there ever been arbtalk stickers?
  13. No I was given it by Mike at treekit. He makes the silver bull rope/kit bags etc I can ask for a few more next time I see them if you'd like one?
  14. Paul...... a sticker I think you might like from Mike and max at tree kit.....
  15. Oh no that's right it was a girly little low speed skid!!!
  16. I don't remember it because I must have been knocked out from the force of the impact!
  17. Blimey eggs you've been hanging round plogs too long with that exaggerating 😉😄!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. It felt like the cresta run woodworks! Slightly down hill too so a nice heavy 130 is like a bobsleigh!!!! Jon likes to reminisce about a small skid we had in Somerset .... mind you he was drunk on cider so he doesn't remember what happened really (ain't that right jon - all those gallons of cheddar valley you drank 😉😄)!!
  19. I tend to go fairly thin on most bowl projects and I'm leaving approx 1/2" of 'meat' on before leaving it in shavings and eventually finishing it off. Should I be leaving more on during the initial rough out and drying?
  20. I guess your right, perhaps some trial and error (building up experience!) is all I can do.
  21. Blimey. I was told no more build slots left. Hmm interesting!!!
  22. Seriously plogs I wasn't going fast and I've got all terrain boots on!
