  1. Cheek of it - that takes some nerve to nick it so close to someone! Makes you feel sick... is he liable then or did the hire come with insurance?
  2. Really glad things are on the up and up for you mate. You deserve it
  3. looks nice and shiney matt. Its amazing what t cut and some serious elbow grease can achieve - i too noticed all those scrumpy flagons , good lad!!!
  4. awesome - sounds mega convenient too.... 250 yards, cushty comute to work every day!
  5. I go through them quick too. That said they get a pretty tough life!

  10. I hope you dont mind me posting this Silky?!!!! (well - Too Late!!!) Anyone considering offering this man work will not be disapointed... Having benefitted from the arboricultural services of Silky Fox first hand last year I can recomend him to anyone in the South East/London area (im guessing you would prefer local work than catching the coach to Dorset again hey mate?!!).
  11. jon, you never fail to make me laugh - what a legend!
  12. stick with the old girl, better the devil you know and all that!!!
  13. I love photography, but never took the time to actually do it during hours of work (Daft!), Silky Fox highlighted to me (through his very enthausiastic) love of taking pictures, how important and beneficial having a photographic record of your work is. Not only does it give you the satisfaction of looking back at a good or particularly tricky job, but as mentioned above can speak a 1000 words when attempting to win a new customer.
  14. Good lad!! p.s can't believe they didn't give you that job, keep on at them because sooner or later they will realise that they need you mate. best of luck with it
  15. awesome! synchronized chipping..... that could be an olympic sport at Rio 2016!!

    Milk it

as a lad growing up in North Somerset in the eighties and nineties, there were seven large dairy herds in the valley i lived in....... now just one........ and the farmer (who happens to be a family friend) has been trying to sell his herd for the past six years but cant because of reactors for TB. But for re-mortgages galore he would be finished. he wakes up every day knowing he will make a heavy loss. What a shameful situation, it makes me mad/sad. I would happily pay more for my milk if it meant the dairy farmers could actually make money instead of pouring it down the drain.
  17. sweet log truck - that would raise some eyebrows on the firewood deliveries!!!
  18. if you do ring trust, ask for Cameron
  19. try trust insurance - they seem to keep coming up with the cheapest (hahahaha) options for me on transit, landy, pub liab, emp liab, proff indem, tools etc etc
  20. Read the article in the Kew magazine on David Nash - I like what he's doing, and on the subject of art.... having been to the Royal Acadamy in London over the weekend to see the 'summer exibition' Nash has masses more talent than the endless load of garbage on display there!!!! P.S Silky I knew you would be well into a bit of wood sculpture down at Kew!!!!
  21. I use both SIGG and Nalgene - i would go nalgene in future as they are easier to clean than the sigg and being transparent you can see whats in the bottle (if you go camping and have ever used a pee bottle you will know where i'm coming from!!). Also, with the wide lid opening it makes it easier to mix up sports drinks (if thats your bag)
  22. cracking bits of kit - you wont look back mate p.s go big!!
  23. Really enjoyed watching - thanks for posting!!
  24. I could not think what life would be like without my landy - hope you get your hi-cap soon mate!!
