  1. My neighbours boy has been given the huge technic crane for Christmas. I've happily volunteered my services to help build it!! Guilty pleasures and all that
  2. So surprised at the sunshine I posted it twice!!!!!!!
  3. Blimey this sounds familiar! No ammount of rest sorts my elbow out either. Ive got 'golfers elbow' and use a sports support if im doing a lot of silky pruning work as this is what aggravates it for me and the support does help. I need it quite tight to make any difference though. Saw the physio about it on referal from doc and he did ultrasound and lots of aggresive massge to break down scar tissue. This intially helped but pain came back. I now use acupressure and gary craigs EFT tapping technique. The last works the best even though it sounds like a dodgy airy fairy alternative technique. Google it and or watch his videos on youtube. It took the pain from an 8 out of 10 to a 1 out of 10 in about ten minutes! Good luck
  4. Just for a change we have lots of wet and very windy down in tropical Dorset
  5. Well done matt. Some fantastic pictures there mate.
  6. Same to you chris! Happy new year:thumbup:
  7. Any one got any suggestions (other than king cab) with regards to creating more leg room in a puma defender 130 truck cab. Im looking to order a new 130 chasis cab and have it made into an arb tipper but the legroom issue seems to be greater in the newer tdci's than in my older td5 130 tipper. For example can you get slimmer seats (which therefore could be pushed back that tiny bit further). Or adjustments to the seat rails? Also has anyone had any experience or can put me in touch with a decent ally body tipper fitter. Trying to get an idea of things before I commit myself to the order as land rover want a non refundable deposit to build a 130!!!!! Thanks in advance
  8. Just smashed an oven baked Camembert !!!!! Amazing
  9. Grey, windy, wet......Urgh!!
  10. We had allsorts today jon. 55mph winds and heavy rain then sunshine and calm, now windy again!
  11. Make sure the price is right for starters!
  12. Its bleddy brilliant in there isnt it?! I grew up in wraxall (north somerset) and regularly popped over to redhill to get cheese bacon and pork pies from alvis! Oh and a cheeky trip to thatchers at sandford to wash it all down with! I miss home a lot - fed up with Dorset!!!!
  13. Lovely cheese that. Apart from alvis' s "extra special tasty" cheddar from north somerset, I love a good french brie or rebluchon. Cant beat it on some carrs cheese melts!!!!!!!!
  14. Have a great time in Edinburgh mate. Great place to see in the new year!! I'm planning a trip up to see you late feb early march. Let me know when your free mate?
  15. Chris you could have the lads wear those bang tidy boxers over their chainsaw trousers like superman!
  16. I've spent many a happy holiday at howtown, just along from pooley bridge on ullswater. Magical place! Glad your having fun with mrs fox mate!
  17. Good luck with that matt!!
  18. Have a great time in the lakes Paul. Amazing part of the country!!
  19. Completely forgot about my great uncle Geoff who spent time clearing up at Belsen too. As you mention about your uncle, Eddie, Geoff was tormented by what he saw there. He was a lovely old boy, I've got fond memories of going to watch the Wolves play with him and hear about the war (although not about Belsen).
  20. One grandpa fought the japs (never spoke about it/apparently wouldn't ever buy anything made by the Japanese!) only thing we know is he was sent to Hiroshima to help rebuild after the a bomb, he died young of cancer (no doubt there was a connection) so I never met him. Other other grandpa was an aeronautical engineer and worked on designing supermarine then de haviland planes, so he never saw 'action' but he went on to design the TSR2 and then was project director for Concorde. Great uncle was in sherwood foresters as was great grandpa but both died in combat somewhere in France (we've been trying to establish more details lately). My uncles father fought the Germans at monte casino and couldn't ever speak about it. If asked about it he would burst into tears. He seemed completely traumatised by it poor old boy. Makes you realise just how lucky we are when you read all these amazing accounts of bravery and sacrifice. They should never be forgotten.
  21. Wow those monkeyelectric lights are IMENSE!! Very pleased to see you had such a great Christmas silky!
  22. Good on her. It's very easy to forget what's been and who's gone.
  23. Happy Christmas silky mate. Have a great day with mrs fox and family. All the best.
