  1. Sorry mate cant help you there simply regurgitating what the council just emailed me.
  2. And submit photos and replant even though its dead.
  3. According to the email I received from Poole council 5 mins ago, yes you do need to give 5 days. The tree I have to deal with is a dead pine that's snapped half way up the stem posing a threat but still has to be five days!
  4. Just spoken to guy salmon in bristol and they say that they will supply me a 130 chassis cab that will be registered (with a number plate). Can anyone confirm for me or reject the fact that as long as the vehicle has been registered I dont need to worry about type approval or an IVA if I take it to a coachbuilders to have the chipbox put on?
  5. Just had a very positive conversation with Ian at boulter tippers. Just need land rover to tell me whether they can register the vehicle as a chassis cab therefore getting round the type approval issue.
  6. Type approval is proving to be a nightmare regarding the defender 130. IVA looks to be the only option (long waiting time for this) unless I can get land rover special vehicles to at the very least put something on the chassis (ie tipper or flatbed). Not to mention some of the prices ive been quoted so far to build the chip box!! Quite simply.....very very frustrating!!
  7. Sounds like your landy is just about run in then Chris! Plenty of miles left in her yet. My 130 is a pup at 168,000!!!
  8. If eating more eggs is allowed especially for breakfast then I'm in too! I'm aiming to take some of the elements from this way of eating food and apply it to my daily diet. I have been drinking far to much (for what I'm used to) over the past 6 months for example and bread/crisps etc have become a vice again. The best shape I've ever been in was when I stopped drinking for 14 months, didn't eat bread or carbs or sugar (where possible) and I felt amazing too. No headaches, never ill, and fit as a butchers dog.
  9. Yeah i did it back in october and it incorporated large trees. Found the course very useful and an opportunity to hone skills. Integrated assesment takes the heat out of it too!
  10. Excellent, they have always made great parts. The cab will look pimped out, I might get mistaken for a boyracer-arbtruck
  11. Brew and a butty...... sod the tipper body, ill come anyway!
  12. Great video ian, ive subscribed to you on youtube based on that showing! Now I must get myself a gopro ASAP!!!!!
  13. Many thanks Al, I will give them a ring in the morning too.
  14. Been googling and theres a few companies online offering lightbar units. A Bewildering selection all types, sizes and budgets!
  15. You sound like you have got the self discipline sorted! Very sound investment of time, effort and money....which I shall be doing myself next september hopefully.
  16. I do spend a long time in the cab as I regularly work in north somerset, hampshire and surrey (from dorset thats normally two hours in each direction). Hence comfort comes Into it. Smaller steering wheel is a good shout, any recommendations?
  17. How have you found it incorporating the 4 to 10 hours study into your work and home life?
  18. I must say its exciting having the opportunity to 'create' an arbtruck from the drawing board. One thing im very keen to have on the roof of the cab is an LED lightbar. has anyone got any recomendations with regards to lightbars? To include a hazard light setting.
  19. I have asked the dealer to find out some more info for me so hoping to get a call tomorrow.
  20. Will do eggs, somewhere to have a brew might be useful as its a fair old trek from Dorset to Suffolk!
  21. Wow you lucky so an so, I would love to go to the gransfors workshop. I'd spend a fortune but it would be awesome. I've got a few gransfors axes myself and I agree with you that they are fantastic bits of kit.
