  1. Yes not a problem bud. May get a tad clagged up but will soon clear out. May be having a Disco coming out with 6.2 litres of american diesel V8 muscle.
  2. Just our interest will. Are you on Facebook?
  3. Its not bad. Not as good as Muddy Bottom though. Trouble with Pay and play sites you tend to do more damage to your vehicle than ya do when green laning as you want to show off to your mates more. Will still be able to have a good day though.
  4. I'm sure he will come out again. Only in his 130 this time and not his "pristine" 90.
  5. Pishing it down here. Had a couple failures on a well known beech but waiting for a few more limbs to give in.
  6. Salisbury Plain is out of bounds. Our boys are playing that weekend. Never mind. Got plenty of other lanes to play on.
  7. Ha ha i know Pete. He's been out a couple of times with us before. Last time we were out, i forgot about the ox drove scratchiness. He will no doubt tell ya about the first 50 metres of the ox drove
  8. There might be. If we are gonna be going through our favour watering hole i will say to everyone to keep close to the vehicle in front.
  9. If you type Rockbourne Road, Salisbury on google maps streetview. Find the A354,and follow the A354 to the left, keep heading left until you go past the petrol station. You will see a track on the right going off at a 45 degree angle with a puddle just off the road. Thats the ox drove.
  10. Planning on having a green laning day on the 28th Sept. Anyone interested? Please note - Will be doing Ox Drove off A354 so be prepared for scratches.
  11. We have an open topped bus at DCC for the same job. They normally use a polesaw above that as well. It works rather well as they have two on top sawing and chucking and a steam chipping into the verge as they go.
  12. Got our new "second hand" chipper today. New blades, fins and bearings and one of the volunteers puts a rusty lump of steel pipe through it. Not sure of damage. But sounds like a flip over of blades with a new set on order. Having one of those months i think.
  13. Another day another two gates installed fully. Got one to install tomorrow on the side of a "60mph" limit A road. Hi viz jackets and road signs at the ready. Thank god we are parking in the the field.
  14. I've noticed it has be a fantastic year for Nuts and fruit. I;ve spotted a couple of limbs which look like the are straining with the weight and rain and winds won't help them.
  15. Our red beast in in for its MOT at the end of October but will be going in for work a few days before hand. Need new hub seals, new front wheel bearing seals, new horns (old ones are full of mud which has compacted inside) and the biggest PITA job on a landy a front prop oil seal on the transfer box.
  16. Cheers bud. They would have been put in last year but the landowner could see our reasoning as why not to. His fields despite being on free draining chalk were like bogs. He has 3 springs in the fields we are working in. Nice and dry but bugger me the ground is like concrete this year.
  17. Another day, another gate. We are part way through the next gate in the bottom of the field so will be putting the hoops in and then working on the final gate on the same path which is gonna be a right pig. Got a scaffold pole to remove as well as a stile and to try and orientate the gate and hoop so it is not impeding the land owners access.
  18. Its gonna be on countryfile this Sunday at 7pm. Time to get the autograph pen ready jon.
  19. Found this critter growing in the Beech Avenue on our flagship site. Will get some shots when it has grown more. Looks like an Agaricus sp?
  20. Looks like a young Dyers Mazegill - Phaeolus schweinitzii IMO
  21. Yup. Currently only have the 1 beacon on the vans but are making a request to have more added on the front, back and a new LED beacon on the roof as the current ones are just about visible in daylight. Tempted to get a dash mounted LED light as well for a temp measure. We also have Highway Maintenance across the back of our Rangers but not the L200.
  22. Had this beauty in the house for the past few evenings. I think it is a Ni moth. Its a african migrant and only about 50 come over the channel.
  23. Got a week of gate installing for a change. Got the first gate done this afternoon after a morning of fiddle arsing about getting bits together. Dropped the gates off for tomorrow at the farm so will be picking them up and taking them to the next field.
  24. We always carry a "fanny pack/bum bag" first aid kit on us when out doing lone work or a long way from the van. Saved our backsides a few times.
