  1. Good job he KNEW they were poachers, otherwise he's just an arsonist/attempted murderer
  2. I've heard good things about the Motion range. I use a fully rugged handheld Getac and am very happy with it, they also make both Windows and Android tablets (which I haven't used). Good luck with whatever you choose...
  3. What a monster must sound lovely
  4. Wow, I must be lucky! I get on really well with all my in-laws, they're fantastic help out however and whenever they can but don't impose, and my kids of course love having them around. They're coming to ours Xmas day for food etc and I'm actually looking forward to it...
  5. Pulp Fiction - "If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions" " I'm sorry, did I break your concentration? I didn't mean to do that. Please, continue, you were saying something about best intentions. What's the matter? Oh, you were finished! Well, allow me to retort." "Just because you are a character doesn't mean have character" Classic cool
  6. 91m. Or twice as long as half its length...
  7. I hope it was safely and appropriately dismantled and disposed of... ...and tasty!
  8. How about leave the dead ones AND plant new? Best of both worlds!
  9. I think slackbladder and others are always looking for burrs, patience...
  10. What a shame, you'd hope the NT wouldn't have made such a decision lightly. Be interesting to know under what circumstances the extensive decay was found, and see a cross section of the stump. I know these reports should be read with a large dose of salt, but - an expert says only 5% live wood remaining? A second opinion wouldn't have gone amiss, when an historic 200 year old tree is irreplaceable...
  11. I have seen the advert now you mention it, it's like s glimpse of my future!
  12. I guess this is the right forum as it concerns helping trees. Picked up from a post on uktc... http://action.sumofus.org/a/mining-costarica/8/2/?sub=mtle Please read and petition if you wish
  13. Yep, one day, when I have a more 'permanent' home with trees in the garden, I'll attempt a tree house!
  14. Oh no, far from vegetarian! Just happen to love fresh food from the veg plot too And my kids were the clients!
  15. ...is rather, erm, rustic! But the clients were happy
  16. Two pages in 9 hours at this rate it could rival the favourite tv girls thread, almost...
  17. Care to elaborate? Pretty please with a cherry on top...
  18. Crikey! That's a monster, any story/history behind it?
  19. My little man is growing up!
  20. I'd certainly be sad enough to look at it!
  21. R. ulmarius here on S. fragilis, if I'd seen the small brackets on a seemingly healthy tree a month ago, I don't think I'd have guessed it was doomed to failure. Can just make out the start of advanced brown rotted zones, the tree shows no (or very little) adaptive growth
