  2. Sod the spalding Janey, he felled that with a 020T
  3. Quite right. "An inch at the bottom is worth a foot at the top" is very much true. Most valuable timber is at the bottom of the tree, so it pays to cut low
  4. Good luck bwana
  5. Hi all, I'm in Llanidloes from the 8th-16th, doing some work for a friend. There is a good chance I will have a couple of spare days at least if anyone wants some help. 10. I think we should revoke their independence, its been a good little game while it has lasted, but it's starting to wear thin now. John, is it you? He speaks like you type
  11. I'm joking mate. It looks too pimped for me
  12. I fancy one, just not as "G" as yours
  13. Buy yourself a Bullman-esq throwing axe. Talking to the next door but one farmer this morning, apparently someone tried to break in to his place a early morning on sunday. His son ran out of the house with a starting pistol (gun dogs) firing blanks in the air, soon got them moving :L
  14. That's the sort of service that makes you a moderator
  15. No they don't have cut protection. Who actually uses "proper" chainsaw gloves though? £10 from Northwest farmers. Used them fencing today as well, still impressed. Price wise I get through a pair of "builder" (Towa type) every two weeksish. They cost £3.50, so if the Stihls last 6 weeks they are not doing bad.
  16. HELL NO. Unless they are old and nice, or female, young and pretty.
  17. Who'd have thought it. Stihl can make something other than saws that works! had a pair of "Carver" gloves for about two/three weeks now and I'm really impressed. They were expensive, about £10, but worth it. Good grip even when there wet, nice and cool, good velcro strappy bits, and a nice tight fit so easy to tie ropes etc. Don't look that tough, the curse of stihl gear, but we shall see Pretty impressed though, cooler than the "builder" type gloves I tend to wear. Sam
  18. This might be of interest BushWear: SPOT Messenger 2 - NEW [ame] [/ame]

  22. Thats a lot of timber! Harvester, better tracked if it is that bad. Good luck, if you need a hand cutter let me know
  23. I like my 2002 Peugeot Partner It's no VW but for the money its bob on. Motorway run this weekend with a canoe on the roof about 43mpg. My old man (6'4) has plenty of room. Not fast, but not bad. It's got a 1.9 but the lack of turbo shows. Tax is alright and insurance on its cheaper than anything else I could find, main reason I got it Dad has a Combo, Connect, Astra and Kangoo for his boys, I think mine is second to the Transit in "specs"- but cheaper to buy, run and insure. The Berlingo and Partner are the same vehicle underneath.
  24. Sweet truck boss, liking the lockbox Been painted up now so the van has. Seen atop my plumbers roof rack is my quote vehicle for island trees
