  1. Also think he only paid about that much for it new Sent from my GT-I9300 using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. Thats an Oxtrac. A friend had one of these, very good for small scale thinning extraction, he used a small forwarder trailer with it. He did a tree surgery job with me once we towed the chipper to the bottom of the garden and pulled a bunch of Leylandii down in no time. However it didn't really work out quick enough for most of the the forestry work he did and he used to hire in a tractor Sent from my GT-I9300 using Arbtalk mobile app

    Ms200t issues

Ive not touched the H screw. Saw's been very sensitive to having any dirt in air filter even since changing diaphragm, but a blow out and tweak of the L screw had it running like a dream all last week. Its not a saw you've had in before (mores the pity!) Sent from my GT-I9300 using Arbtalk mobile app

Too much fuel sounds right. The level of fuel in tank seemed to be less after a short time running. How do you set the metering arm? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Arbtalk mobile app

    Ms200t issues

Recently managed to get my 200t running nicely after changing pump diaphragm, fuel filter and giving it a clean and bit of a tune. Started it today and its useless! It will start with choke on and is very smoky. It will just about idle but dies if I touch the trigger, even gently. Was running fine last week and now is a bag of $#!@ Sent from my GT-I9300 using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. 36" Alaskan mill with stihl 880. Cuts were fairly quick and smooth. Tree was about 2 foot wide. Mostly took of 2" thick boards through and through and a couple of 1" thick. Any bigger and we'd never have shifted them
  7. Nice bit of oak I milled yesterday. Loving the winch addition, much easier work and no vibrations off the mill.
  8. So did anyone on here buy it? I've been offered a similar Stenner mill so would be interested to see the set up of this one

    Stenner vb42

He's got a plan apparently and saw the mill running before he dismantled it. He doesn't want money, just wants to see it being used as he hasn't sorted it out. Its a question of what might have seized through not being used and how much time/money it would take to install. I hadn't thought about dust extraction.
  10. I've been offered the use of a Stenner vertical band mill to use inside a barn I rent. Does anyone have experience of using these and setting them up? It's currently in pieces and was dismantled nearly 10 years ago. I'd ideally like a look at one running if anyone uses one in sw England.
  11. A friend of mine is importing these to the UK, based in Somerset. You're welcome to pm me and I can put you in touch

    Fourtrak ??

Only got engine bits left. Radiators and brakes only problems I had with mine

    Fourtrak ??

I had one for years. Was a p reg a bit more modern but but pretty much the same. Sills were rotting a bit after I'd abused it for a few years. Think they did a galvanised one as well. Engine bullet proof, got a load of bits in the shed if you want em. Great little truck, towed anything and never let me down

    sythe

There's a scythe fair near Langport in Somerset. Including a strimmer vs scythe championship! Green Fair
  15. Tis very close to me. Have done some work in polsham last year, I'm in Dulcote. Will pm contact details
  16. Here's a walnut I took down last year. Wasn't expecting much, but took it to the sawmill and got £250! Can also have a few planks when he's got round to milling it.
  17. Looks exactly the same winch as the one I broke the other week pulling a caravan uphill. Ratchet straps came to the rescue much better made

    Yoga

I've been attending yoga classes fairly regularly for over a year now, after getting told by the docs I had osteoarthritis in my lower spine. This, along with the help of an osteopath, means that my back feels better than it has in many years. Mind you, missing my class right now cos my truck's temporarily out of action
  19. Jacksons in Chilcompton are good but pricey
  20. I did one last week, made a nice change from the usual jobs.
  21. I bought a pair, lasted about 3 months then the stitching fell apart. Dealer who I got them from took them back and gave me a credit note. Said they'd had other pairs sent back too.
  22. I've just been given a figure of £1400 for my P reg Daihatsu Fourtrak today from NFU direct. Its a bit less than i was expecting, but probably not too far off the value given the mileage. They used Auto trader to come up with the figure. I've had to do all the ringing around and chasing up various departments to hurry things up, the whole process has taken a month to this point. I was not offered a courtesy car, and when I asked for one it took 3 days for them to find one and it was 15 miles away! My local office seems good however, I think I will go through them in future if i continue to use NFU
  23. 'Allo John got a new motor? My fourtrak manual says its fine to drive round with hubs locked when you're going on/off road alot
  24. I also have lightning boots and the stitching's come away after 5 months. Think my next purchase will be Haix, they seem to last well
