  1. We planted a woodland up on the estate of Eucalyptus, Nitans and gunnis (spelling) they did terribly, the site was poor and I think there just about dead. However the one that went home in my pocket and is now planted at my parents is massive.
  2. Spencer sawmills need loads of popular for some contract supplying british steel they've got, They will pick up with there timber wagon but don't expect much coin. Also I think Jackson Sawmills not far away to take pop both only down the road as well
  3. These scams are common, came across them when I was buying a van the item is always based some where remote and they ask for payment up front
  4. On that first vid, I wonder how you would bring it down after that, You could't climb the tree its hung up in, guess you would have to winch it out, or crane
  5. Look in your forest mensuration book, blue book if your desperate to know and don't have one I'll look in mine but that will require me getting of my bum
  6. Good on ya, I would love to be able to travel from one exciting job to the next, kipping in my camper and travelling around the country
  7. I used my quad for the first time today only for it to loose all its oil and now wont start, took some extreme transit off roading to fetch the chipper back
  8. Make a good noise then
  9. Dan, get the misses to get busy with her sewing kit, Ps you left your baccy in the Van, it will probably be dry before I see you next to I best smoke it for you
  10. I was disappointed not to get a free bag of stihl sweets with last order
  11. Thank you Mr Beaumont
  12. Looks like you've had many happy days in that Gillet
  13. Alaskas cold, I worked in Oz, was great,
  14. Altot of woodland work is done for free, usually for the timber / produce. You go for it not enough people working in forestry to many go for arb and thats why jobs are so scarce.
  15. Yer agree, smash crash is defiantly more fun to watch
  16. Ranger is only 3 tonne legally, although I've had a lot more behind mine. Can't a vehicle only tow that of its gross weight legally, not capably
  17. Nice, only thing I have against these videos is people always want to show of the whopper trees they've felled and never the reductions etc which make up a massive chunk of work. Not that I blame you in a perfect world I would only ever do big take downs and never tree tickling gnome dodging
  18. Here you go Chris just in case its always been your ambition to be in a photo on ArbTalk I found another' date='
  19. Sorry Boss, just working on it now, however its half 10 and I've had several beers these quotes might not get accepted
  20. Just bringing a little love to the forum xx
  21. I'm glad you asked this question i'm thinking of trading the ranger in for a new navara
  22. Ahh nothing exciting just a really badly scratched cornea, (eye lens) I could'nt see as It was agony, on the first aid note, If I had a first aid kit close by (I should but did't) I could have washed it out and possibly saved a lot of pain and a trip to docs a few hours later after it got worse and worse
  23. Agreed, very,
  24. Having ended up in A&E last week I think any first aid kit any where is great, in forestry you often have a 10 min walk back to the van and a first aid kit at the refelling station is a great and not new Idea,
  25. Dan Mr David Riding is looking for climbers http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/employment/26974-climber-required-midlands.html If I pull my finger out I'll get some quotes written to get some more work in for you.
