  1. Having ended up in A&E last week I think any first aid kit any where is great, in forestry you often have a 10 min walk back to the van and a first aid kit at the refelling station is a great and not new Idea,
  2. Dan Mr David Riding is looking for climbers http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/employment/26974-climber-required-midlands.html If I pull my finger out I'll get some quotes written to get some more work in for you.
  3. I think a curve and shape gives instant wow factor and customer love it. But I think its ok to only reduce the odd pokey stikey out bit and a curve is not always possible. I think good pruning is more important than shape as the tree will always look good when it comes to leaf, But customers always comment on the shape when there writing the cheque to how well is conforms to BS3998 James xx
  4. Narrr had a another job to go to, would have been nice to have a cold one sitting on the table waiting and drop strait in from the tree
  5. Dan, you like the Owl, bloody pub garden was full when I stuck it in so was getting heckled

  10. I've cut through one and pulled one of a wall, the first one I fixed my self, it lasted long enough for the cheque to clear and the second I re attached to the house by tieing it to the drain pipe with bailer twine, the customer seemed happy with that.
  11. Can't wait to fill that to the brim with chip, all transits are over weight so might as well do it properly. Chog of wood in the leaf springs should help that heavy duty suspension a little.
  12. My last set of bearings lasted about 5 machine hours, they were fitted by my loacal TW dealer whos opinion and workmanship I trust, he says they rearly go even from poor blades the reason they went was a bit of Cordaline had went twisted around the bearing and broke something, he showed me and was correct. was only £120+ vat supplied at fitted,
  13. I agree with every comment on this thread, is any one welcome to attend these steering groups? as im looking at ArbAC at the moment, if its local to me and theres sandwiches I'm there! James
  14. Don't think a ND would serve you well for consultancy where as the AA tech is ideal. I plan to do the AA tech once my local college had enough people to run the course
