  1. I've spoken to Rob today and he's not had any intrest in this work. I've worked for him and its decent work and if you pull your finger out you can earn good money. There must be some climber near who are up for it? Ben
  2. new england or teufelberger? new england all the colour will have the same feel to them tree worker have it in black and yellow to.
  3. Maybe just start him off on 13mm rope yale xtc or something and use a prussic made up of some 10mm friction cord. Then he can progress on to more advanced climbing techniques
  4. You'll be lucky mate!!
  5. I've sent mine back today with the same problem

  7. Expensive taste have you seen hadders 10mm AP lanyard! Did you enjoy splicing for Nod at the APF mate?
  8. I've had my 660 for just over a year although I've hardly used it, maybe 7-8hr. Unfortunatly its just ran out of warranty I noticed the chain brake gets very hard if not impossible to apply. It's also started to backfire when I turn it off, bad times

  17. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/employment/46674-climber-arborist-wanted-possibly-full-time-kingswinford-west-midlands.html
  18. I'm sure there's someone on here looking for a climber in the westmidlands at the moment
  19. Was you looking for the 112mm, do you think the 1,005,000kg minimum strength will be enough? Haha!!
  20. Second that
  21. It's slightly thinner, they're probably just selling it off the reel? If you want a spliced eye why not try something like the yale blue tongue?
  22. The guy's at stein/fletchers would love that, as we all know their big on hand splicing haha!!
  23. I reckon tie a large ring on one end of the blue tongue and a small ring on the other end, using a scaffold/ fishermans knot. Then tie a large ring on the prussic cord forming a prussic loop, then tie the loop onto the blue tongue using a prussic knot. Or send it back spend a few extra quid and get a teufelberger multisaver
  24. Fair play mate that looks an amazing job
