  1. whats pruning and take down spikes? and how the hell do you get a throw line into a conifer? ha ha
  2. Dude i to am small time, not been doing it long and just got my lowering kit together i have 2 19mm esterlon dead eyes 10 and 16ft, i got them of here both for £35 delivered and also old snake made me a 19mm tenex loopie sling which is worth investing in. you can order tenex off tree worker
  3. No meters cause if yo have a big diameter stem 10ft going to go no where near i bought 8 meters of 16mm esterlon and got old snake to splice it
  4. i use a 7-8m 16mm double esterlon dead eye on the rc 2000 and either a 19mm esterlon dead eye or a 19mm samson tenex loopie on the block you need a bigger dead eye at the top anchor as it's taking twice the strain of the bottom anchor.

  13. yes mate my strops 6 meters and i use it as a short double line, i might get a 10 meter one too. or using a distel could i choke it round a branch and use the full 6 meter as a single line?

  15. at the moment i'm using a short distel on my side strop and i ocassionally use it as a short second line, could i climb with a art positioner in the same way?
  16. I think DMM will anodise them different colours for you but i expect it'll cost quite a bit more
