  1. Yes you need it, if they are not bona fide subcontractors, you are liable in case of accidents. Surprised your insurance company didn't make this clear

  3. 28nm definitely ok then, I've been doing 30
  4. The right angle piece is the gauge, drop the cassette out by taking off belts and four bolts that hold it in, put the gauge on the anvil and knock the anvil down till blade just brushes over gauge, and beware the star drives when changing blades, they are cack IME
  5. And gap and blades as has been said, when I got mine the gap was way out, after sorting it difference was massive
  6. Yep, efficiency is the key, I'm 37 and yeah 19 year olds wiz round the tree making a million cuts a second, I move round at my own pace and make every cut count( most of the time!). I'd be quite happy to go on and on

  9. Probably be a circuit of 20 odd feet max (including return) so you have a header tank I assume to feed in? I sound really ignorant but plumbing not a strong point!
  10. We ve acquired a burner with boiler and would like to run two rads off it, how does the system work, do you need a pump or do they gravity feed? Cheers

  16. Yup, got a call on Friday 2.30 pm, blokes climber wouldn't climb rotten old poplar could I come and do it there and then for £200 cash? Course I could, if you can do something others can't charge a premium. I often enjoy subbing more than my own jobs, I tend to fret sometimes.....
  17. The conservative s have had five years to sort it out, all they've done is run it in to the ground, they said the banks are too big to fail, by my reckoning the NHS is too important to fail
