  1. As Grey git says its retrenchment work, the tree has shed some big limbs, we are trying to bring it going as long as possible, probably another 5 years time we will bring it in again etc, reducing a lot in one go might push it over the edge, it's getting a proper kicking off the gano
  2. Big big oak reduction today, massive spread on it, spec was up to 3 meters off, trying to bring the crown in over a period of years as its a fantastic tree but riddled with gano and hollowing rapidly, 2 climbers 6 hrs
  3. Likely outcome? Your gonna get shafted
  4. Cider,spat,ipad
  5. I'm 37, I climb most days, however I now try and break up the big stuff, 3 days in a row on the big uns and I really feel it! And I'm totally over chogging down big stems with a 66, apart from that I love it
  6. I suppose his point is as the breakaway cable is designed to operate the handbrake in case of trailer coming off the hitch, if it ain't attached it can't work , therefore defective, harsh though!
  7. Yep, it's a deeply unpleasant experience
  8. Did my tax return this morning, that's about as close as I get to indoor working all year!
  9. Same here, when I was renewal time for me, said they wouldn't wipe their arse with competitors policies, v unprofessional IMO, I'm with tree surgeon insurance now, great service, paid out with no fuss when I had a claim and my PL and El combined came in cheaper than just Pl with another company
  10. Just seen on f book timber tractor page a 9 ton butt bein lifted by the arms on a skip lorry, lift it, back trailer under, job done
  11. I have to say that although it's a very emotive powerful bit of film , the fact that it is at its core a marketing tool taints it for me. Maybe I'm being cynical, anything that keeps the memory of what happened alive has got to be ok
  12. I hope your right! Countryfile forecast just saying its been the warmest jan to oct on record, not good
  13. Ask Skyhuck, he's big on ladders!!
  14. Wise words
  15. My thoughts exactly !
  16. Yes Skyhuck, but 34,000 cheaper makes it more obtainable for a lot of people, chuck a couple of grand at it and you'd have a tidy motor
  17. If I had the spare cash sloshing about id be very tempted, don't reckon it'll be on there for long
  18. Just seen a land cruiser pickup on eBay, don't know how to post links, wants 8,500 for it, looks tidy, considering the one at Apf was 42000! It doesn't look like a scam either!
  19. 7000 posts silky, badass
  20. Ha, would pick up the 95 any time, only go to the 3120 when there is no other option, which is increasingly rare, think I've had to use it once in the last year
  21. Gonna have some busy groundie s on that one!
  22. Only joking jon!
  23. Well done TDC, might keep him quiet for 5 mins!!
  24. I run 25" on my 461, no probs
  25. 461, ace, feels lively and aggressive,as opposed to 576 which feels dead and lethargic
