  1. In ideal world yes, but these shows probably cost a lot to put on and the organisers have to recoup that, if it's wet and the fields get trashed small events / shows can quickly lose a huge amount reinstating them. It's really none of our business tbh, ( not having a go at you Jon )
  2. The nightingale s have just started up in the woods at end of our garden, woke me up at 3 am! Noisy little buggers, nice though. A month later than usual for some reason
  3. That's the problem, loads of fresh faced lads love these sort of jobs and price low to win it so they can brag about the monster tree they took down, these sort of jobs are kit/body intensive, I'm much happier doing them if I've priced a nice margin on it, nothing worse than under pricing a big un, every time another liter of petrol goes in the 395 it really hurts!
  4. That said I still enjoy a big reduction, just not the removals
  5. TBH the glorys gone from big trees for me, if I haven't done one for a while it seems quite exciting for the first half hour, but once I start chogging with a big saw, mouth and trousers full of saw dust, aching knees and getting irritated with the people on the ground the novelty soon wears off! Can make the same money poncing about with the little stuff IME
  6. I'm ok with that Jon, when shall we do it?
  7. I'd go 950, rig all the brash, get a load of bales/tyres on the monoblock, flop the butt over get JON to come and PICK UP OFF SITE MATE, jobs a good un
  8. Honestly I couldn't be without mine now, don't use it for small/medium trees but anything resembling long multiple spikeless ascents it goes on
  9. My Bedfords gear box came from them
  10. Since owning a pantin and an Ms 150 I've had no bother at all, up until that point it was a running niggle
  11. Mine used to oil sporadically, but it's been fine for past 6 months
  12. Not yet, too busy at the mo, doin tree surveys and climbing inspections there at end of month
  13. It's not a bad price that Jon , you might save a pound or two ringing around endlessly but you might not
  14. The beauty of the cs 100 is its ability to be manhandled pretty much anywhere, putting a heavy diesel lump is going to make it less shiftable, keep it as is and buy a diesel road tow IMO
  15. Ooh that's let the light in etc etc. nice work
  16. I reckon you've won bigot of the year at the 2015 arb talk awards, and you've beaten off some pretty stiff competition
  17. Yep, those views have no place on here, or anywhere IMO
  18. Hmm, so we haven't colonised / been immigrants to other countries for hundreds of years? We went to those countries for our own benefit, and took what we wanted, same old same old
  19. Nigel farage said it so it must be true
  20. We exploited a lot of nations and their people to get where we are today, now people in those nations aspire to what we have, just reaping what we've sown
  21. You gonna fit the switch on one of your pumps egg? Make sure you film it in action
  22. I say gold my missus reckons bright yellow vomit. I'd have ripped eggs arm off on that deal, any self respecting chap needs a bmx
  23. I bought a 1.1 saxo petrol for picking my daughter up ( miles away) and general stuff, it's ace. Also I look like the badman when I'm doing burn outs in the one stop car park.
