2 years ago I’d have said don’t bother, but reckon next 10 years could well be a gold rush (albeit in unfortunate circumstances) with Ash die back. Get your foot in the door now with a decent presence and kit and it might just work....

As said, if that were mine I’d be loath to lose them, they really ‘fit’ where they are. I’d go with the above advice of plant 2 more and see what happens in 10 years.

Yeah, I’ve got income insurance, you’d be a fool not to in this game. £58 a month but pays out £1200 pm within a week of claim. -

We reduced a whopping oak lapsed pollard that had had a good 7 meter reduction 4 years previously, we must have taken another 5 off, it’s shown really good growth since and the plan is to reduce again in 5 years (it’s riddled with gano and polypore). I’ll try and dig out some pics.....

As above, invest in an impact driver. I had to drill a couple of rounded torx bolts out of mine.

I can’t imagine a more miserable experience than trying to manhandle that oak tree through the maze like house, up a flight of steps, to find some scrotes nicked the blower and you’ve got a parking ticket.
