  5. on saturday i had the pleasure of working with luke smith and his friend allan the job at hand was a 15-17m high willow with a over all crown of about 12-14m wide after having a minor set back with the cherry picker first thing luke quickly started climbing and in a blink of an eye befor the cherry pick was up and running he already had a quater of the tree down about a 1/3 of the tree was over a fence and next doors garden and the wind wals quite gusty and blowing the tree even more that way but luke craked on with his job and befor 12 90% off the crown was down and half cleared up and chipped after a light lunch and a cupper and a quick chat luke started back by now luke with his skills made light work of the rest and now for the heavy side of the day 32inch saw on the go fist cut of the main trunk had to go trough one side then come back the other side got the the last cut of the day and a cut at lest 6feet wide to finish off 4 off ust to push this lump over for what luke charges for him and allan and these two guys do work hard and with skill and speed to match i can say he is worth his weight in gold if anyone on here needs a hand for a day or someone to sub for them get intouch with luke of here
  6. im now booking a flight for me and my chainsaw and a large empty suitcase so i can cut one down stick it in my suit case bring it back take the chipper to the house of palimant and chip it up all over our goverment then we could screw them over for once lol
  7. 12ft gate to get trough and on the lawn abut 8ft from the drive the guy who was ment to do the job was ment to do it monaday but never turned up my friend has rang him monday and said he lent it to his mate be with you tomorrow tuesday came not there first thing mate phone siad his van broke dowm be with you wednesday abot 11 mate phoned him again guy said im not coming to do your job not now not never as unless you pay me cash up front and i want more money and hanged up on him

  9. so as the title say helpng a friend out as he was let down by a guy who was ment to stump grin a silver birch stump aproxx 12inch dia and he wanted it at leats 4 inch below the soil as i dont have a stump grinder phone around his local area hire companys and after a few call travis .perkins had one availble a small 13hp rayco work out at a £118 pound a day hire so said yes i be aroun in 20 minutes to pick it up dont the stump and returned it with in na hour and a half and thats driven to my fiend unloading it from the truck having two cups of tea and taking it back to them the origianl guy was going to charge 105pound for the job i only charge the hire of the stump grinder note else as it was a friend so got me thinking why didnt the other guy do the job was it he never had a stump grinder and hire was more than the job or was the not enuff money for that size of stump what would most of you charge for simler size stump
  10. if your close by you can lend my tripple ladder that rope extends up and at maximum reach 60ft but will take two strong guys to move it very heave and stroung or i have a 17 rung double ladder rope pull on to light as a feather and stroung as an ox will hive around 35 ft to 38 ft working hight

  14. 90% of the time i use chainsaws on my own all manor of sizes from climbling work to ground felling to toping hedges and have to admit aswell to half the time i dont bother if chainsaw trousers while using the saws but accident happen everyday with saws im just lucky that so far it haven happend to me thats the way i look at it but just on sunday the guy who likes next door to my work yard borrowed a hedge cutter of me and had a accident while doing his hedge he fell of a pair of big steps and landed onto his gate wich is wrought iron and haves thouse fancy spikes on the top of if he landed on and one of the spikes whent right trough his bicep i heard the screms and went srate in the work truck and grab my fist aid kit wich it about 2ft by 1 ft by 9inch deep got loads of stuff in there tiped a pint of saline wash over his wound and then put on the celox granules and to make sure got a bit of elastic and tied it tight above the wound and his wife rushed him the hospital he is coming home today and i will be finishing the hedge free of charge for him asap

  16. last year i had the same size 25 kg bags size fill to the brim had it out side the yard for 3 pound a bag and advatised it to was mixed wood ash cherry apple chestnut oak and beech and was well sesoned and only managede to sell 17 bags wasted my time cutting the logs that the first time i sold lods and it will be the last time but i hope this will be a busy thing for you and make you a few pounds

  20. got to be echo for me got a 2003 srm330 god its been abused and its still going strong today get a big echo that what i say
  21. i pay 5 pound a truck load of chips to get rid of when cant find anyone who wants them or the rubbish stuff thats full of leaf or laylandi chipped up
  22. one thing i can recamend is a walk behind mower ive had loads of them as i cut around 4 to 5 acers a week from march to end of sep ive had snapper lasted 2 seasons heavy though didndt colect damp grass due to having a stupid idea thay was ment to frow the gras up a shoot hight than the engine had a harry well buils solid alloy deacy aroun 5mm thick lasted a sean and a half just died while on a job never siezed but just wont start again hayter expensive and it only lasted one season wheels feld off smashed the deck murry about 4 motnhs and that died egnine craked mountfield every lot came loose after half a season toro lasted a season just wore out quick alko lasted 2 season and the flap and wheels fell off lawn boy had that 3 seaons and what a bit of kit key stard 2 stroke but that got nikced and the list go's on evey mower i had with the briggs and stratton engine are rubish all the mower i have costed from 450 to 750 pound 90% all had a briggs and straton 675 engine the company i buy most of the mower's from all say how long will that last you i say they briggs and straton more like briggs and scrap them
  23. next to the work yard the house and land had all sorts of seeing and people feeling things i know the guy how use to live there he moved just over a year ago its that bad he wont even walk by the place i can even tell you ive been in the house and with the heating up at 28 and a open fire going all of a sudden it would go freezing and i mean really cold and stay like that for around twenty minutes and some times it even flet like someone was pussing down on you and then you could smell smoke but the hole area has some dark and and strange stuff happend around it and all so the boydamien who played from the original film the omen lived there
