  1. Or he's telling it as it is...
  2. Remember I've been away from the water authority for a good time. If you are on a septic tank you loose the grey and foul water discharge off your bill, if your surface water goes to soak away you loose that, or a percentage of it off your bill. It was said, get a meter if there are more bedrooms than people occupying a property. We went on a meter when we had the bungalow and saved about 20%. I've no idea how a house 4 bands higher can have cheaper bills than a smaller house.
  3. If you've got the license for a 7.5t and keeping the other van it's a no brainier.
  4. I'm gutted for him, I wonder where the money for the Chalet came from in the first place.
  5. One way or the other taxpayers money will be used to get a nonce off, them's the breaks in the good ol' USofA though.
  6. I'd love to hear this one! Gypsies and travelers aren't a race. You'd do well to class them any more than an Ethnic Group. Tell us what you know about it.
  7. Six and two threes, whichever way you look at it, it's wrong. I'll get my mate to send me some photos of the glossy brochures over that his lad brought back from the dole explaining how the two week course would pan out. you'll hit the roof.
  8. You tell me, it's ****************ing scandalous.
  9. I have no doubt you are right, £150pp times ten per class wouldn't be bad money. This is all theory, he wouldn't actually go to a warehouse. Nice work if you can get it.
  10. Warehousing! If he wanted a forklift license I might just be able to see it but going into construction work? This is where it gets better, the training he would have to do is outsourced to a private company, let's say they charge £150/day, that's 1500 quid of taxpayers money to get a CSCS ticket that you can do in a day for about 100 quid if you pay for it yourself. My mate is paying for it to get it over and done with and his lad back to work.
  11. Close but no.
  12. I was talking to a mate yesterday who's boy is out of work and signing on, he's been offered a job once he gets himself a CSCS card so he approached the dole to get the training, for him to get the card through the dole he's got to do two weeks training in guess what? Rember CSCS stands for Construction Skills Certification Scheme.
  13. Blocked.
  14. Generous offer Doug, imagine that fat slob slathering all over ya.😢
  15. Mr cropper can keep his fat birds, if I get cold over winter I'll fill a hot water bottle first.
  16. Yes, and I've always said on here there are many over the years that I wouldn't trust even if I could see them. Many years ago I was on a camp owned by gypsies, not a gypsy camp, it was a holiday campsite. One day I get home from work when the old boy who owned the camp came knocking, "Simon, "Youve got a key to Davids (his son) yard haven't you" "yes, Brian" "Show Freddie where it is so he can park that digger up there, her indoors is going mad about it being on the camp". Off we go, and he parks the trailer/digger up, all sorted? Next day David rings me, " have you seen Freddie" "no mate, only just got in" "could you go up the yard and let the police in, that fecking digger is nicked and has tracker on it, oh and tell Freddie if he's there when I get back tomorrow tell him he's in for a hiding" They were two cousins, one taking the piss out of the others generosity.
  17. It's the world we live in unfortunately mate. You can get a tibby look pick that will get you into a Transit in seconds, and the van is gone.
  18. Everyone's take on life is different what you enjoy is maybe not what the next man does ! Does this mean his life is crap ? I can't stand someone who thinks they no what I should like or be doing how about do your thing and keep your opinions on other people to your self That's put that to bed the😉 I dont care when when I work, days, nights, weekdays or weekends. The thing that matters is the money being right at the end of the week/month.
  19. The camp in Bury-st Ed's was the same, every plot had its own brick built shower/toilet and washing up room, they wrecked it in no time, stole the copper, striped the tiles off the roofs, that's what happens when it's an open gate camp. There are two more camps up the road in Mildenhall that have a gypsy 'landlord' that live on site and they are spotless, why all councils didn't put a 'landlord' on their camps is beyond. I hasten to say there isn't a camp in B-St-Ed's anymore.
  20. Thanks, yes I will be clear from the outset. I think I might just contact the agent on Monday and see what they say, if it's going to be a pain I'll give it a miss. I will definitely run it by a solicitor before I sign anything👍
  21. I've only just seen the advert never mind a tenancy agreement, I know it can be done, a fella I worked for sublet part of his unit. I thought I'd ask her before contacting him on Monday.
  22. Brilliant, Shut most of the camps then prosecute people for being roadside, makes perfect sense! Some folk might not like them but they are here to stay, years ago some councils used to find a respected member of the traveling cummunity to run camps, in fact I pulled in one in Northampton a few moths back, unfortunately lots of councils left the gates open then wondered why the places were used to flytip and much worse.
  23. No, what are the changes?
  24. Anyone got any advice on subletting a rented commercial property, there is a property (semidetached house) that was last a dental surgery. I don't need the building, just the bit that was the car park. I dont want to ask the agent without knowing a bit about how it works.
