Me and our kid have a bet every Saturday, fiver each, we've gone down already this week. He's gone out in disgust already. Best to laugh about it I guess.

nothing is sacred anymore, our kids mate caught 3 little scrotes trying to nick his motorbike the other night, he managed to slap one of them with a golf club.

No pictures so it didn't happen, I walked up the Staffs Moors yesterday and saw what I now know to be a Reeves Pheasant, stunning bird that I've never seen before. -

I don't understand how they've pulled this off, how can they be made redundant when other people are going to fill the jobs. I thought the job itself that becomes redundant, not the person?

It is, what you must remember is truck drivers in the Midlands will always earn more than those on the extremities. Where the hubs are is where the money is.

Our kid doesn't suffer fools gladly, he says his 'mate' is a numpty, but he's my numpty. They seem to rub along ok mind.

He's a class 2 driver, they are contracted to do 3 16 hour shifts, (2 drivers) afternoon/nights but they rarely do 16 hours. Depending on who's turn it is to drive first most of the time one of them only drives once a shift. Oh and it's New Look, not Top Shop.

I should keep out of it, but it's nonsense that boils my. p*ss.. I'll not rattle on anymore because it fecks me off. All of us know a good tradesman should and could be on more than £13/hour.

Yes there is much more to life than earning money, and in three and a bit years time my pension will kick in. In the meantime I want the going rate for a qualified/ticketed/experienced tradesman, and £13/hour does not cut it.
