  1. For some reason it won't open here, I thought it was X above the ridge and 700mm from an opening, I stand to be corrected mind. What does it say?
  2. My mate Slippery Jim will have one in by the morning, what make/model would you like?...
  3. Last time I saw an arse like that it was pulling a stagecoach.
  4. Is this Topsham?
  5. My apologies, I misread it.
  6. If it's already been passed your neighbours are on a hiding to nothing, harsh but true. Someone had the nerve to buy it and sit on it for 10 years knowing it might never get passed for building, any of the neighbours could have done the same thing, to be fair.
  7. And someone has bought it and wants to build on it?
  8. I wish you wouldn't quote him, I've had him on ignore for years...
  9. Oh, I forgot to mention, that shared drain is the responsibility of the OP's. Water Authority if it's in England.
  10. That's why I'm thinking it's odd if the drain runs towards the road from that cover, would have to go through the BT. The drain could go under the BT infrastructure if the sewer is deep, what I don't understand is, why send the drain one way at the back of the houses only to return it to get on the sewer in the road.
  11. Spk fr yr sl, i cn jt abt gt it, bt oly jt.
  12. Yes, the cover in the second picture between the back of the BT box and the tree looks like a drain cover.
  13. Excuse the poor drawing, why would anyone do that with the drain when they could run it out into the road off the drive.
  14. He's way to smart for that, and I can't help with the tree. What puzzles me is the run of the drains, it doesn't make sense, or there is a buried manhole cover.
  15. Close, mush=mate. But this is our Les so it could mean anything.
  16. Freelancing on nights, when the site electrician gets here I'll be on my way back to my box.
  17. It would be easier for the masses here if it was in English, but I'm sure there is a translator app that could sort it.
  18. Are you going to post up the letter you got from the LA? Shouldn't you be in bed?
  19. There are a few out there, most of them designed for self build motorhomers. Cubicminiwoodstove.com tinywoodstove.com salamanderstoves.com glastonburyburners.co.uk they will all do what you need.
  20. If you do go down the planings route try to organise it so the lorrys can get in on the same day to tip the planings as they go, unless you've got the gear to spread yourself. You don't want 20 ton heaps all over the place.
  21. Sorry, have I missed something?
  22. This is a photograph of the Prime Minister telling the BBC off for lack of integrity.
  23. I'd not heard of it until now, and as per, the Gov website is vague.
  24. Service Metals, iirc you are Manchester way? I think they have a place in Oldham.
  25. Under 'normal' circumstances I'd agree about mortar filled joints not allowing roots to get woody, but in a foul sewer. over time, hydrogen sulphide will 'eat' through the mortar leaving the joint exposed, in turn leaving a large gap that allow larger roots to penatrate the joint.
