  1. I watched one of his shows years ago, the person interviewing him asked, "What was the worst day you had when you were a steeplejoke? He replied, "it was when I'd climbed to the top of the tower and realised I'd forgotten my cigarettes"😂
  2. I think it could be Special Brew, because he's very special.
  3. I'm proud to say I have the same shovel I had when I did my apprenticeship, it's still like new.
  4. How long after the mewp got bogged down were you aware of the situation? If it was hours after, why weren't you told earliear? What did you advise the lads on site to do when you did find out about the situation? As for your original question, I wouldn't dream of asking for payment if lads I employed 'lost' a day through at least one of theirs actions. It seems you want to charge someone for one of your employees cock up's, surely you know that isn't the way forward?
  5. ‘Bloody foreigners, staying over there avoiding our jobs’ bemoans Wetherspoons’ Tim Martin NEWSTHUMP.COM Wetherspoons boss Tim Martin has today criticised the EU for raising a load of workshy fops unwilling to come over... Smiley.
  6. She was a dirty bugger.
  7. My mates a farmer, he had to diversify so he started growing dildos, big mistake, he ended up with squatters
  8. If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck. Now swap out duck for (add your own expletive) and you've got the likes of Tim Martin.
  9. I'm absolutely gutted he's struggling to find staff.
  10. I will keep it in mind if I do feel the urge to murder someone, "yes my Lord, Stubby on the interweb said it was ok to murder people on a Wednesday if I'd got these socks on", I'm sure that would cover it.
  11. I'm a lot more risk averse now I'm getting older, I'll stay in the box, just in case.
  12. It is a Wednesday and I've got blue socks on, should I stay home this evening?
  13. The big sites will turn a blind eye when it suits them, I was working for another company a while back on a Bloor homes site, one of the company's new lads didn't have a CSCS card, when he was knocked back we said we are off then, the bloke running the site soon changed his mind.
  14. No idea, pay? And why would he want migration if the place is flooded with them?
  15. Perhaps I haven't understood you properly, Wetherspoons staff are back off furlough, they don't get a say in it. If all those people still on furlough were back at work they would, possibly still be working where they were before furlough. It's quite simple, his business model, especially in big cities relied on European labour, that labour isn't here in the vast numbers since Brexit.
  16. Made our bed, now we have to lie in it. And what's furlough got to do with it? He can take his staff off furlough. He can't get staff because us Brits don't want to work in pubs.
  17. They've just tried the same at Thetford rugby club, coincidently both these sites had Motorhome rallies on them a few days before.
  18. Staunch Brexiter wants migration rules relaxing to staff his pubs!
  19. A bit of hypocrisy anyone. Wetherspoons boss calls for more EU migration to help staff bars WWW.LBC.CO.UK Wetherspoons boss Tim Martin has called for more EU migration to help tackle the shortage of bar staff working in...
  20. Do you think these are "actual" UFO's as we know them or something up there that Russia, or China have sent up?
  21. Being serious, have you still got the paper license or is it the photo card one?
  22. Probably ploughing his next victim already, old habits die hard.
  23. Rules is rules😤 Some of them still really piss me off mind.
  24. Another one of those rules I guess many of us missed.
  25. I have heard that you could ask for 107 not to be added before, I thought it was an urban myth.
