  5. Not a quick fix, just what i use... I got some 11mm ply 8-4' sheets, cut in half. Put some hinges on so can fold and a bit of 2-1 for strengthening and away i go used these for yeara
  6. Lasted quite a while compared to todays standards of lads id say lol
  7. Cant watch all that, always though the guy was a prat. Havent really watched the video so dont know what he's saying
  8. How are people moving on their product? Asin their woodchip and their logs? Im currently swamped out with wood and chip at the yard. I do process for firewood but i bring back so much when your working all the time its hard to process much so yard just stacks up. Also woodchip, how many people are selling this? I sell part and now and again get some big orders which helps clear out. Also how are people dealing with oversize wood? I have mechanical advantage now so can pick up big butts to take back the yard, currently just atack at yard due to labour intensive if to process. Do people move the big stuff on at reduced rates? Trying to see or find better outlets or ideas to streamline things. How do you work this part of the business? Also do many people plank wood? Got some nice sticks of oak. Do you plank up yourself or sell to people whom do this?
  9. I reckon it needs some sort of top strap to help with the length and leverage of the chipper. Removable so you can acess blades and flywheel
  10. Wow the lower rate doenst seem a lot! Esp not with running costs and fuel
  11. Not sure if it means its running lean or not right as burning off unburnt fuelnin exhaust
  12. Hows the opinions on the forsts a bit further on? Everone still happy? Anyone flogging once out of warrenty? Or you plan to keep machine 5-10yrs? I know a lot of folk like to change their chippers every few years
  13. Not good and nothing wrong with checking at all! We can get wood down to 20% just by air drying. Was funny i was watching a video yesterday of a new logging firm thats popped up and they said their logs are kiln dried and moisture content of 20-30, and said that air dried logs are usually 30-40 lol made me chuckle. Ring the firm and see what they say to your findings.
  14. That is awesome! Love it
  15. Sorry i'd have said something esp if mates first chipper and trying to look after them / help out. Crap info to come from manufacturor. Doesnt fill you with confidence at all
  16. 550xpg is a great saw, bought one about a month ago, great saw. As for top handle the newer 201tcm is a stonking saw also
  17. Need to find a purpose for a couple of sticks like this
  18. What sort out of money are these worth in pto version? Cheers Think it may be a bit small if only rated at 6"
  19. Sorry missed this. Its a 30e
  20. Is yours a tipper though? Or a box van? On the tipper its only the cab to worry about. Must admit my old 2002 iveco didnt have any rust on cab or chassis
  21. Is there a way to stop the fuel spouts leaking? The quick fill from stihl... Not from the seal at the top but the seal in the sliding body.... Better still does anyone know where i can buy the normal spouts for the oregon cans? Where they screw on are like the top of a crown not just circle. They seem to be made better then the rubbish stihl make that snap off where you screw them on. Thanks in advance
  22. Looks the ticket
  23. Different people different things jelly
  24. Sometimes you can be full and its not worth the hassle. Remember that big pile of logs you didnt want and aold to get the room
  25. What size is the chipper John? Looks like it will do the job when fabricated to fit
