  1. Looks exactly the same as mine! mine is a y reg lwb, had 89k on the clock, month tax but 12 month mot. mine has the 2.5td engine from the earlier transit at 1500 quid, you'll end up with a smiley transit.... they are good, i've had them but theyre just dated (apologies to owners) basically you get a newer ldv for the same price as an old tranny...... quite a few people on here run them and speak nothing but good words about them, apart from refinement in the cab area lol ohhhhhhhh, and mr EGS...... good luck with the extra money you will have to pay for one, ohhh also the dual mass flywheel and the injector pump if/when they go tits up
  2. it was deffo new series, it was on the title of the program
  3. i wasn't very impressed, bit boring really, i just wanted to look at the machinery and how and what they do, but everything kept braking down.... boring
  4. what cc etc? any specs? even pics lol
  5. ha ha thats class!! asif some people think some would do it for just the logs lol
  6. logs are a perk of the job sometimes, esp if you have the ability to process them etc ans sell on.... don't forget time etc resources to process and delivery time after etc..... don't have the wool pulled over your eyes, they must think you came down with the last shower
  7. it reads to me that they want to sell it to you, knock it off price of job? is this right?
  8. just played with that aswell lol, plastic sheath on sewn eye on split tail getting in way so going to try my other split tail sometime. all this was sparked off by seeing someone climbing with different pulleys etc, one was a petzl pinto?? the other a cmi mickey mouse and plenty on here with the hitch climber lol
  9. i still climb prussic and think its ok, this is just a play around which may lead to something else..... technically its still just a prussic and rope with a little pulley to tend and nothing else so what can go wrong with that? same as just a rope and prussic, pulley could be taken off at anytime and back to normal method
  10. just redone it the way you say but with normal sized prussic cord..... i like it, but need to have a play with some smaller cord as you say, cheers
  11. yeah, prussic a bit crappy when sodden and covered in slime lol playing about with things makes good understanding of how they work i've learn't a little from this tnite
  12. it works yes, not tried it in a tree yet.... will have a go at some point. just wondered about the second krab the knot etc? with bending rope etc
  13. haha i wasn't going to bother putting anything up but then thought beggar it, and just hung it u there lol seems to work ok..... probabilly be something wrong with it lol, e.g not a hitchclimber lol would probs work with a blakes too... and wood picker what you mean? tis the right way up pal been rained off tday so had to find some sort of entertainment
  14. Just been messing about in the garage and cobbled this together..... http://i513.photobucket.com/albums/t338/Swinny28/rope002.jpg Please don't jump down my throat and attack me anyone lol i am relatively new to climbing and this was only messing around trying things... i should really just go buy a hitch climber lol cheers chris

  21. ouch..... ebay for a buyer to me at the minute looks a no go...... good for a seller but not for the buyer, saws are making ridiculous prices at the moment for 250 quid i would look for a 2007-2008 saw and hold out for a 2008 on ideally... recently sold a couple of older 020t saws, got 160 for one, and 225 for a 1999 model with no bar, unbelievable prices!!! just might stick on my spare at the prices they're going for buy new if you can pal
  22. right...... it should fit then do you know if there is any re-enforcing in there at all?? same towbar brackets etc as i have here..... that thin plate at the back seems to make it foul but nothing the tin snips won't handle.... i'll have another go at the weekend then, just hope the metal strong enough etc cheers
  23. Evenin all fellow LDV owners, got a bit of a problem with mine, im struggling to get a towbar for it for some reason..... i purchased one that looks like this : ldv convoy tow bar on eBay (end time 29-Oct-10 16:14:00 BST) but it doesn't go anywhere near the back, no room or holes to line up with or anything.... the other day i had a sneaky peak at someone elses ldv tipper, and there's bolted with 3 bolts to the back on the inside.... mine doesn't have any holes at the back nor any re-enforcement for towbar etc...... also noticed my back number plate/light bar/board seems to be different to bolt on mine is a lwb with a 12 foot back on...... boss suggested it may have bee a luton then converted to a tipper after...... there are a few unused wires to the rear. struggling and any help appreciated. can get pics in the morning if necessary cheers all
  24. my yale xtc rope has a tight eye but its not too bad now after a few uses
  25. Do not what ever you do get the old style transit turbo engined one! the imobilisor has packed in on this which controls ecu and injector pump, no one will touch it, just looking into putting a manual pump on it and i should be set to go again other than that i like my ldv and im proud to say it! wish i'd have spent that little extra for a 2002 onwards so it would have the 2.4 duratorq
