  1. i've recently done the cs38 course, there was a chap on there whom got a "blue book" when he got his certification in the early nineties. He's taking a young lad on so the college told him he has to do the cs38/39/40/41 etc
  2. you got a link please?
  3. Something is always worth more to yourself than it is to others, i have many an item like this, but to put a realistic price on it is a different matter, insurers go off price guides etc, you can never replace a vehicle for the same money to get a newer one. Depreciation has to be taken into account etc. At least you got a settlement and yor truck back its yours to do as you please with
  4. taking all this on board will hopefully put into practice had to wash my gear today though due to it getting soaked and dirty, i had a better day monday when it was dry lol

  7. it could be that im too close to the tree and upright, i do think they need a tickle up to get them sharper maybe...
  8. i'm not too bad at spiking, sometimes even in the dry they do not seem to dig in properly..... it may be my positioning etc it only happens now and again. these are not razor sharp etc little bit rounded to the end... can you sharpen them again with them being steel?
  9. Good evening all, Been out doing a little climbing tonight, i've been climbing a sycamore tree which i'm due to be felled this week, it's been a little bit wet tonight, but i'm struggling a bit with my spikes, sometimes they do not seem to sink into the trunk correctly and just skate down the side of the tree shaving the bark off and i feel like i have to stab them in at times The spikes are quite old as i got my gear second hand, should they be a really good razor sharp point on these? or is it me? and how i've been climbing? cheers chris
