As in the title really, i'm looking for work in the north west/yorkshire/lancashire, i've decided to go the self employed route due to lack of jobs around and people not wanting to take on so it seems the sensible way to go to get the work. I'm keen and willing and wanting to learn! My names chris i'm 21 and based near skipton, i currently hold my cs30.1 30.2 31 38 39 and have my cs 40/41 booked towards the end of this month. I currently work for a member on here so can put you in touch for reference if wanted. I would even consider working away for a period of time? week/weeks/month?   2. yeah, thats the easy way for people to get there hands on one i must admit! before christmas i sold: 020t unknown year, good runner 160.00 020t 1999 no bar and chain!!! good runner also 225.00 020t that would run but missin bits 90.00 024 good runner 105.00 absolutley crackers what people paid, i still have a 2005 one that i use and a brand new one which was only 405 inc vat at the apf!
  3. why do people bother with second hand when people want more than 250 for one? i'd pay something up to 250 for a 2008 one etc no older but after that i'd get a new one! that said i sold my older ones and bought a new one

  9. because we wanted a bigger truck for more capacity 5.5/6 TONNE but just had the iveco tarted up now i agree its a good truck, i like it!

  11. what size wood etc do you usually cut? what size bar you need?
  12. i personally do not like my local dealer, nor does quite a few in the area like them either, they never want to discount anything no matter what you are going to spend

  14. i must admit work does seem dire here in yorkshire, well a bit slow at the least, maybe due to christmas etc but its still slow where abouts are you?

    yeah, i saw the comment where you purchased from the apf? i've only used mine a handfull of times due to working for someone else now but i'd never get shut brand new 2010 in june, even if times are hard, like christmas etc, ride it through you'll regret getting shut when you find you need a saw of that size again
  16. Oil i use is just normal chain oil, at 10.00 per 5 litres lol looks like i'll have to shop around by the looks of things

  19. ahhh, but i only get a little 25pound b1tch in for when i do weekend jobs just purely for dragging work for someone else through the week, that just topps it up now and again cheers for the advice
  20. 250.00 for two guy's for a day is ok, thats similar to what i would charge job and equiptment dependant

  25. i'll sort it and my brother can do the re-roof as he's a roofer lol unbelieveable how they've let it get so far! i'd laugh my socks off if it was found out that they refused to pay for it to be pruned/controlled anually haha whole new can of worms there now
