  1. Is this aimed at employed people? subbies or ??
  2. IS the wood held down properly and securly? Also are the rakers filed to low? Bar need dressing? if burrs...
  3. now your being sarky
  4. I'm on more than the other climbers allready... as said lots will climb for 80-90 a day. I climb for 120 a day sometimes more, and come accross all sorts. And then it gets to the point that you show people what you can do and they book in even more work in for the day! Sometimes more than safely possible, even when your going at it! When your doing a hell of a lot of work and then comming down and chipping, cutting etc, clearing up as you should and as i do, Thats the point I KNOW IM WORTH MORE.
  5. Exactly!! People on here know all the outgoings there are yet never take into account when talking about day rates on these threads...
  6. Because you cannot get a better day rate round where i work... If i asked anymore i wouldn't get work
  7. Strange subject this really. All varies where you are etc and experiance. I need to up my day rate next year at some point, most people round here only want to pay 80.00 a day for a climber lol and needless to say i don't work for them! Really you need to be on 150.00 a day if you can tackle all jobs and get stuff done on time! And safely. Depends on experiance as i said! I KNOW I'M WORTH MORE THAN MY CURRENT DAY RATE!
  8. Yeah its a big shame! And terrible if it spreads and does this!
  9. Sods arn't they!! I had my bag nicked from a truck when working a few weeks back, we were only 15 yards from the truck! Drove up the road to see a few contents splattered on the road, then further down they had tipped it all out, rifled through each pocket and dropped it. Off to have another round of the town to see if they could get owt else Scum, good job it was only my bait bag!! And i didn't stick my wallet and keys and mobile in there like i usually do!
  10. Exact same boat here other than the house. Heads up my arse at the moment and real lack of motivation to work feel crap
  11. Also saw someone using a neck scarf pulled ul over their nose to stop inhailing dust also!
  12. Yeah sawdust in the eyes is a right pain! Also it rests on your fore head and eyelids and drops back in your eyes when you whipe your face lol how you doing anyhow dave? Hope your keeping well.
  13. You dont work them hours lol
  14. The 261 hasnt had a good start really. Few issues. Although mine has been fine. Keep looking and researching before parting with money on either saw
  15. This is the kind of thing the customer wants, pic supplied by them, Thought they were crimson king maples then green maples but now think the others are limes?? Anyone?
  16. Use the wood boss if its ok, and see what you think of it. The 08, not sure what to do with that, either sell it or hide it under and at the back of the bench.
  17. Yeah, just been to pick my van up from the job. paced out some big beech on the road side, they were 8 paces. Going to have to measure it properly i think rather than paces... you just drive down and think, it wants a heck of a lot of tree's compaired to what i first thought!
  18. not as a hedge but individual tree's, will be managed. thats why i was thinking 15 yards to centres. Maybe 10 yards.... gives crown dia at 20 ft for instance. 10 ft radius from each tree and 10 ft gap between tips of crown..... that sounds better? or am i miles out...
  19. Hi there, i've been asked to plant a row of tree's down the side of a lane. Walked it and it approx 135 yards. Tree's are going to be maples i think. one crimson king then 2 green then another crimson king, that kind of pattern... Planting distances is what i'm thinking about! I was thinking 15 yards initially, but on second thoughts seems like too far apart. Just trying to make sure the tree's have enough room. Any suggestions? oh, 3.5 - 4 metre tree's 12-14cm girth
  20. can accomodation be sorted?
  21. Will sort something out for you!
  22. Yes, membership ontop but still cheaper by far
  23. Got a quote for 180.00 tonight! Everything covered! CLA as renewablejohn said
  24. I use and old fashioned muck fork, as don't have pallet forks
