  1. I do love a 56 series case 😀
  2. Yes to the boots but also, right we are ready to start...... then you hear: just going back to the truck to get my helmet and gloves 😅 😬 ffs
  3. Its split all along I just presumed that it was only the edges now holding it together? The track doesn't seem just right in fairness. Glad I got job done and back on trailer anyhow! The metal part is flapping about some. I thought once that's whipped out the track will skip and probably come off?
  4. Ffs
  5. Got you now..... maybe jasp wilsons may have some as they generally remove loaders from tractors they told me. All I can think of
  6. Do you mean head stock on the tractor loader weld on brackets? I have in the past bought a convertor stock.... that took mine from tanco to euro 8... was 200 quid or so though
  7. Absolutely spot on. Sick of these types of scenarios.... a small reduction is pointless.... a bigger one wouldn't be allowed and it would sprout back twice fold.... A reduction wouldn't benefit the house, possibly someone down the street maybe. Round here the tree officer would allow a crown lift and that's it. Get these scenarios all the time total pain in the arse..... tree surgeon is piggy in the middle 🐷..... tree owner wants the world on a plate.... tree officer wants to save every tree and allows minimal works. Poor tree surgeon has to waste their time and look at a tree that work wouldn't be passed on and let the customer down gently ......
  8. These work quite well when needed. It's just the shitty tree cutting ones. Like Doug said fold down are ace as can store anywhere but blow over and bend etc
  9. Just wondering what tree cutting signs folk are using? Are you using the composite style ones? Ones on a cone? Or the shitty floppy metal ones? I've used them shitty metal leg ones for years and am sick of them blowing over and more recently getting run over with wagons etc. Could do with a couple of new ones so thought I'd see what folks are using? Composite ones look good and maybe not blow over but take up more room in truck and heavier.... cone ones look OK.... Owt else about?
  10. Bandit sg from arb show 21500 plus vat..... Basic predator 38 was 20995 plus vat Remote and blade predator 38 is 28k ish plus vat
  11. Local lads run some trailers with the 6 stud 15.3 rim tyres on.... one of the trailer has some better tyres on but still in the 6 stud rims.... After this they're on super singles and floatation on various trailers. These lads on 50k tractors.... I would consider upgrading trailers for better axles maybe. 57k is fairly braying on with weight behind
  12. Yeah I first looked other week and thought sod that load of balls.... was on my phone though. Did it the other day on the laptop and got trough OK and got tickets
  13. Same ish for me then with arborisk 1200 quid ish for 2 motors and driver
  14. Check that the engine can physically turn over fine. Nothing blocking flywheel turning etc... Take battery off put a known good one on and try it... a duff battery can loose the cranking amps and sap off another batter so completely remove it. Try crank and lightly tap the starter motor to see if the solenoid etc is sticking..... Bridge the terminals on the solenoid of the starter to see if it turns.... could be a dodgy ignition switch or starter relay. Loads to go at there 👍
  15. That's just 1 motor I take it? (Even though it says fleet policy)
  16. I rang nfu years ago about insurance.... cheeky sods asked if any of my parents had a policy with them or they couldn't cover me lol 😆 😂 I was like wtf does that matter... plebs
  17. I should look into this at some point.... sure mine was 1200 quid ish for a master tipper and an 2010 ford ranger anyone over 25 driver and near enough 10 years on each motor ncb
  18. Where are you based?
  19. That's what I'm thinking.... I've wasted 2-3k on this engine easily wish I'd have thrown it out straight away. I just worried about the output shaft mating with clutchand flywheel bearing and the adaptor plate. I've seen various perkins sold with rads an running etc 800-1k then there's the phaser engines a little more. Seen a mf390t engine for sale but its 2k and probs needs oil cooler etc
  20. My bandit 90 possibly
  21. This has individual injector pumps for each cylinder (4) I only have issues with 2 cylinders. Even after a rebuild, new injectors and swap pumps etc. I'm wondering if those 2 cylinders are glazed but not sure how 2 of 4 would do so..... fed up of the bloody thing tbh. Not many folk about know about these hatz and not many mechanics about good enough to help (more fitters and not diesel mechanics)
  22. I have a smokey hatz engine that smokes on startup. Would love to throw it in the canal and put a perkins in there to be honest. Did consider a deutz air cooled also. Just worried about matching Bell housings up and clutch / out put shaft
  23. Has anyone ever swapped out a shitty engine for a nicer one of a different make? What are the things to consider? I'm thinking modify engine mounts, wiring harness to sort etc and exh, air filter set up. One main concern for me is the bell housing end and the output shaft, getting these to mate up, being same spline as clutch, same dia for bearing in flywheel and long enough also That and it pains me to have to make up and engine and rad cover also... Not 100% about going down this route but it may well be an option. Any one done owt similar? Shoot me now 🤪
  24. I've had one this morning.... esp when they know its a bigger Job and will cost a bit..... "cash pound note this one, no receipt needed" I just thought to myself couldn't care less if I don't get it. Take it or leave it. Its always better when you come away and sent a quote through afterwards via email etc rather than them waste your time and try to blagg you to death to take the cash. Cash is no good to me. If i need to replace equipment. All stuff I look at / need now is easily 15-20k plus.
